He’s a 3-D role player. Actually improved on driving to the basket and finishing in the paint. A good defensive player with length, 3 pt shot, and can drive is highly sought after by teams in this league. He absolutely deserves to be signed.
Get mad and piss and cry about it, but you know it's the truth. He's been constantly injured the past 2 years. An early extension would be foolish. He needs to show he can be healthy again. If he does that, awesome. Give him the new deal he wants. If he can't stay healthy, offer him a deal for a part time player.
literally did nothing but stated an Opinion. Judging by how you responded you are the one affected by my words
The sentiment from some ln here is whether he “deserves” getting signed to a bigger contract than his current one and that he has to “prove” himself. Also people stated that his “injuries” would not merit him getting more money. As I stated he needed to work on his drives and finishing in the paint and restricted area which he did last season. We saw increases in FT % EFG% TS% and points per game. He still played 57 games last year despite injuries. Unless he has some degenerative medical condition, his injuries shouldn’t preclude a bigger contract. His skills and production has warranted more money. He certainly deserves it. I’m sure if you were in his shoes you would want more money. Meanwhile Sheppard makes over 10 mil a year contributing very little on this team while struggling in the summer league. Does he deserve 10 plus mil?
Hopefully Tari will earn the new contract he wants at some point this season by showing he can stay healthy. You don't get that by only being available for 80 games over 2 seasons. I know that's over the head of some posters, but I think most peeler understand it intuitively. What he wants is irrelevant, it's about what he's earned.... and the kind of contract a role player has earned after being injured the majority of the last 2 seasons isn't the kind of contract Tari wants.
He deserves more money and I hope we can re-sign him. The question is how much and when. Durant’s extension will have a big impact. In a vacuum, I would rather trade Reed than Tari, but none of us really know what Tari’s injury prognosis is. I think the best course of action is to give Reed a chance to prove he is good enough. Of course, if he sucks it’s not necessarily true that someone will want his 10m contract. We can just wait until December to decide. I am confident this team will still be in the hunt regardless of who is next to Amen in the starting lineup. Ime’s offensive acumen is a bigger concern to me than Reed or Holiday. I think Okogie might actually surprise a lot of people.
Duct tape is human kind's greatest invention. You can solve anything with enough duct tape and brute force.
We will soon see with OKC that players of value and talent will be moved to keep other players of lesser caliber but TEAM need. The cap unfortunately is unforgiving and the GM has to field a TEAM not a top 5. ALL players want and need to be paid. Any player should get paid as much as he possibly can and all team have the same amount to spend on players. SO if he can’t get paid here he needs to go there.
Well, yeah, if they win another chip that would be 2 and that is more than what KD, Russ, Jeff Green and Harden achieved over there. They could sell off their entire team and this would still go down as historical in their history books - a very young franchise actually.....started out in 2008.....changing from the SuperSonics. The goal is to win and not keep the team together so that they can be bounced in the Playoffs and they did that ahead of their supposed time.
Thank you for your follow up. Tari is in a middle of a number’s game. I chose to use OKC because they are the most successful at the moment. The cap unfortunately will tear them apart from within. They maybe able to sustain success by using their abundance draft picks as they let great talent go and rebuild/load with cost control contracts (rookie contracts). ie Topic takes Wallace spot because Wallace needs to get paid. Their point guard position looks different but still has more potential than most other teams. Tari is stuck as Rockets are blessed with forwards. The addition of KD just adds to the enrichment. It’s not personal or anything that Tari has or hasn’t done. I’m hoping we get substantial draft capital so we can reload/retool with cost control contracts, too.
It's actually cake. How hard was duct tape to figure out? "We need to stick these things together, hmm let's make something sticky." Cake though? Think of all of the steps to even get to figuring out how to make the various ingredients (butter, milk, eggs, sugar etc) and those processes, and then to think to mix them in the right quantity to get cake? Incredible stuff. And there's historians banging on about the wheel like it's not just obvious to round the corners of something if you want to roll it...
Personally, I think air conditioning is the greatest of all time. How do you make something colder than the air surrounding it?
I dunno man I think internet is the greatest invention ever. Its crazy that I can type on my phone without any wires or cables and other people can see it a world away.
As for Tari they are far apart in talks because he wants a deal similar to Bari (25M) but the market value for 3nD wing is a lot less. The only 3nd wing I know making 25M or higher is Jaden Mcdaniels and tbh he is extremely overpaid. OTH we see DFS and NAW having to settle for full midlevel so I think that is around what Stone is offering..
Tari Eason literally needed to get a piece of bone cut off, because of a disease. Bone Glue fixes Fractures only.
