Can’t argue with the stats. I think I was being unnecessarily harsh on him in my post. I didn’t realize how much more efficient he is in the paint now. That said I’ll probably continue to get pissed at him if/when he makes a bad decision on the break
I must have blinked and missed the 2.5 minutes this unit played last night. It was +6 in a game won by 4.
I really hope the Rockets don’t screw up the Eason extension. I view Tari as the ultimate junk yard dog player that all championship teams need. A better version of Mario Elie. I would keep Tari over Jabari. I know the Rockets want to keep below the first apron next year, but that is next off seasons business. I would jettison DFS or Capela to pay Tari the same as Jabari received. Don’t mess it up Stone!
Very low chance we will. Also I hope Tari shows he’s going to work to prove himself. He’s yet to separate himself from the pack in all aspects of the game in a consistent manner.
I don't want them to. He's yet to prove he can stay healthy. I'm sure it'll make him mad, but he hasn't earned an early extension
can’t we just match whatever he gets offered as a restricted free agent… unless he takes a discount like alpy/jalen/bari what’s the benefit of signing him early?
The benefit of signing an extension for the team besides normal salary negotiations is cost certainty. If the rockets lock in Eason at a certain number they will know how much they can offer Durant on his extension without going over the second apron in the future.
