Oh yeah, I didn't technically play it, but I did watch a Death Stranding 2 playthrough when that came out. Gameplay seems fine I guess (comparable or better to the first...although maybe too combat focused?), and definitely a very pretty game. Ultimately didn't really care for the narrative, and I'm not sure I've come away happy with a Kojima narrative in a long time. I do give him credit for trying to be creative and different at least. There was one scene late that was pretty amazing. It gave me Alan Wake 2 epic scene vibes, which is a good thing.

Oh and because I'm a glutton for punishment, I did finish Abiotic Factor (from my last post). I enabled some mods that basically gave me god mode, infinite ammo, etc., which I had to do just to not get frustrated with some of the things I mentioned previously. Even with that, it becomes an even bigger slog IMO, and the ending is pretty bad (both in gameplay and narrative). It is frustrating because, kinda like a Kojima game, I can appreciate the talent and work that went into that game. But it was *not* for me.

Probably going to check out the Ni no Kuni games next.

Buddy left me his Switch while he finally got his Switch 2.

Started playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses and haven't played this sort of tactical RPG in awhile. Really enjoying it.

Great feedback. I'm thinking real hard about jumping on this as it is currently on sale for PS.

I enjoyed it. I might be in the minority of people that likes 2042 so I'll be sad when 6 comes out and everyone jumps ship.

There's a steam demo available to try out. Feels pretty cool. Will probably pick it up at some point, but I've been playing Hollow Knight Silksong.

i bought a modded dreamcast lol.

obviously the first thing i did was go on ebay and buy the dreamcast mic to finally play seaman. its been decades since i saw an ad for it in some game magazine. i remember being in middle school and being blown away by such a stupid concept for a game. still, that **** stuck with me and now as well-adjusted adult with well-adjusted adult money, i can say yea, i played it. and yes its a very stupid game.

shame the console died so early cause it had a lot of cool lil ideas.

I'm playing Planet Crafter after getting it on sale a while back. I had tried not to buy it for the longest time because it seemed one of those "goofy color palette games". It kind of reminded me of No Man's Sky from the ads I saw, and that's a game that I think went from terrible to decent thanks to the developer not quitting on it. Of course, it was rushed out the door, and I still think it's an overrated game.

So far playing Planet Crafter, it seems like more of a decent time-waster and a bit of a grind. Nothing too exciting, but not really too boring yet if you like grindy-type games. I've only gotten through about halfway through the tech trees, so I don't know if things get more exciting. The biggest excitement so far has been my poor choice for location of my base that results in .... let's say.... issues (so not to spoil anything).

    So... I play on.

For those that played the original, Hades II is out. I never played the original, but heard it's pretty good.

Anno 1800 (6$). Harder than I thought it would b on normal mode. Overall fun for the price, but it needs more variety and it has to let you get away from grids and get creative.
