What will it take to make you seriously consider an EV?

We've gone from hyperloops turning into simple tunnels to now becoming sewer drains. I am not impressed Mr. Musk. This is truly boring.

 

I still don't understand the point of the tunnels below Las Vegas, but I can get behind this - given it would actually help with our flooding.

 

Which Taycan do you have? I have an A6 e-tron and looking to add to the fleet.

 

I have the '24 GTS.
Love the car. It's a beast.

 

Is there much of a difference between the GTS and 4S? I'm new to Porsche.

 

I'm in a BIG dilemma....I don't know whether to go with the Audi RS GT Performance or a Porsche Taycan 4....the Taycan looks so cool but the RS is 0-60 2.4 with 912 HP....

 

huge difference? na.
but it does get the detuned larger motors from the Turbo models.
plus interior upgrades/feels.

so slightly more power, some interior upgrades..etc.

GTS is a sweet spot in the porsche world.

The RS GT is a badass car but I am a Porsche guy. The driving dynamics, I have no idea how they are doing this but it feels like any other Porsche. I love driving it. Drives like it's on rails with the acceleration of a supercar.
I don't care for the audi infotainment system.
I also think the Taycan looks better.

I personally dont think you can go wrong with either car. Drive them. Work out the #s.

Two EVs in, I think it's hard to go back to ICE. I'm no car enthusiast by any means so that's probably part of it for me. I just like things that go fast regardless of what it is. The convenience of being able to charge at home is great. The key is really having enough charging infrastructure, having recently bought a Lucid Gravity I'm grateful to have access to Tesla's SC network for road trips.

 

Ice Grey Metallic is my favorite color. Not sure I could spend 5K on a upgrade interior color but I've never seen it in person. Would like to see pics of that lol

In other sad news from a few days ago, Acura nixes the ZDX which was once an ICE car with a unique interior (for its day) and was re-birthed as a rebadged Chevy Blazer. Not many were sold at that price.

Then you have Nissan pausing importing of the Ariya to the US apparently due to weak demand and tariff hits. Apparently it's just for the 2026 model year after which they'll re-visit the decision.
