Liked the signing at the time, now I wish we would’ve waited. He’s never scored 30, as a SG, in this day and age that’s kind of wild.
Trade Aaron Holiday for a 60th pick, and add Westbrook for the vet minimum. He can be a part time starter and a part time off the bench PG. His performance declined at the end with the Nuggets, but I think he will control himself to some extent with KD. Reed and Amen can't carry the load by themselves. JO can be valuable off the bench as a 2.
I think if Okogie can hit 35% from 3 that he will play a lot more than some expect. Of course, last year was the only time he hit above 30%. I expect him to be in the 10/11 man rotation to start the season and if he can hit 3’s to be ahead of Holiday and maybe Sheppard in crunch time
If anything the FVV injury makes his signing look better right now IMO. Amen is the only other good point of attack defender we have against quicker guards. There are matchups where that could become a problem.
Yep. I think there is a good chance he's on the court a lot when Amen is not as I don't think Reed and Holiday will share the court much.
I was thinking the same thing about Holiday. The Rockets need to trade him to create space so that they can sign a vet minimum guard. Not sure about Westbrook but anyone is an upgrade over Holiday.
in the summer highlights i saw with the nigerian national team he was the lead guard bringing the ball upcourt and distributing. might be a stretch to think he could do the same at the nba level but we’re actually desperate enough to find out. can’t be worse than holiday
Haha, I wondered why they extended Tate, Jeff Green and Aaron Holiday, for that reason. 3 Guys that would not sniff minutes otherwise.
Trade Holiday?? Nah, bro is the new Eric Gordon. He won't leave til long after the stars have moved on.
Guys, we’re good. We start Amen-DFS-Durant-Jabari-Sengun, giant 5 with 3 shooters and good defense. And we have Holiday-Sheppard-Okogie in the bench. Not so bad rotation
