Even if he's not scared youre not gonna get RGV Reed. Its an easier leage to play against. He'll be half that in NBA if we're lucky.

He may not have the same success at the NBA level. But, I want to see him play with the same confidence and aggressiveness he displayed with the Vipers.

He recorded a standing reach of 7'9 and he's 6'2, it's genuinely a historically bad number. There's a reason for that. If you google, average for a person 6'2 is 8 feet, so he;'s 3 inches shorter than average with a standing reach but has a bang-average wingspan at 6'3.25, and an inexplicably high vert despite no photographic evidence of anything relating big hops? For reference, here are some vertical jump scores:

    Dominique Wilkins - 42 Inches
    Julius Erving - 41 Inches
    Shawn Kemp - 40 inches
Kobe Bryant (remember young Kobe and how bouncey he was?) - 38 inches
    Vince Carter - 43 inches

You're talking elite leapers here, Reed has never shown anything remotely suggesting his vert is within 2 inches of Amen Thompson's, unless somebody wants to show me some footage? Still waiting for that. And once again, Reed admitted that he gamed the score, that's not "opinion" that's from the ****ing horse's neighing ass mouth ffs.

Ooo here's another cool number comparison:

Nate Robinson - Height 5'7.5, Standing reach 7'8
    Reed Sheppard - Height 6'1.75, Standing reach 7'9 o_O

I thought it was Alpi who ran with t-rex arms :p

Seriously, do you think you can game your standing reach by 4-6 inches?
You seem smarter than that, at least it seemed that way.
Let’s say he got 2 inches (would put his standing reach above Dillinghams) which isn’t really doable in professional testing, he would still have a 40” vertical.
It’s obvious you have no idea what you’re talking about when it comes to athletic testing.

You do realize standing reach has more to do with arm length, shoulder height and hand length than it does wingspan right?

Wingspan, shoulder width is a big factor.

Reed has short hands and arms, wider shoulders. Wingspan will be better than standing reach

He'll probably pretend to believe anything that would support his false narrative

So we drafted somebody who's 6ft with the standing reach of somebody 5'8 and you don't think he has physical limitations? You act like this isn't something that's been admitted and done by several other players in the combine previously, wilful ignorance doesn't make things disappear I'm afraid. He admitted it himself, he deliberately tanked his standing reach to increase his vert number. The fact that you're all arguing against Sheppard's own words is genuinely comical at this point. There is no way on God's green earth that Reed has a 7'9 standing reach, I'm a regular ****ing 6'2 dude and mine is ****ing 8'4" are you serious? Join me in the real world.

Regardless of anything else, he might genuinely have the most aesthetic jump shot I've seen ever tbh. It's so silky. Hopefully he shakes off the Rockets curse* and it starts to drop for him more this year with more opportunity.

(*I actually think it's the arena, I don't believe in curses but I do think there's wayy too many shooters who suck as soon as they come here for coincidence. Arena is all I can come up with that'd affect everybody, depth perception maybe? You need to have a big beard for equilibrium? Needs investigating.)

I know training camp is prime time to talk about how everyone has gotten jacked in the offseason, but Reed legitimately looks stronger. Those are some serious quads for a basketball player.

So Dillingham and others in Reeds draft are sandbagging too?

There is literally no way to possibly game more than an inch in these tests. Like I said, this is what I do. You’re out of your depth here

Just like FVV, Reed just knows how to play the game (IQ, feel, team play, competitive wining spirit, etc.). I don't know FVV measurements but most likely are similar /worse than Reed. If FVV can be a starter, I'm sure reed has every chance to be so, even slightly more.
