    Best outcome for today would be Astros hold on to win and both the Ref Sox and Tigers loose.

    I believe the Astros would still control their destiny in that scenario if they win out.

    Edit: I think if the Tigers went 2-1 against the Red Sox the Astros wouldn’t be able to catch either.

    Astros can't control their own destiny right now. They need Tigers or Cleveland to lose 2 at least. So whoever loses today against them needs to lose 1 more (2 if Clev) and Astros sweep Angels.

    1 day at a time. Astros win and Tigers lose = tie. Then go from there

    Well if the Tigers and Red Sox win today, it's essentially over. Boston would clinch a spot in that scenario and not give much of a crap about winning this weekend. Even if the Red Sox lose tonight the magic number is only 1.

    Detroit unequivocally has to lose this evening. That's our season on the brink.
