It’s sad, this team has given me so much joy. Now I will stay away from baseball for a while and get ready for the Rockets.
This team managed to hit rock bottom at the worst possible time. Only chance is if Yordan comes back and we sweep the Angels.
The players know they are playing for the playoffs — and also the managers job and this is what we have gotten… its going to be hard to convince the fans and Jim Crane that these guys played hard for their manager by the end of the season.
Wonder if Crane would blow up this roster not just the coaching staff.. or would he look to sell this team? This team doing this bad to end the season gives me all kinds of concerns for this offseason.
What's sad is that it appears they really did quit. It feels like something is wrong with this team above and beyond all of the injuries. There are no leaders. They don't seem to give a ****. I think they're ready to be done now, and we haven't seen that kind of complacency in a LONG time.
They are exhausted - they have played without major pieces all season and after 150 games, they are just spent.
team has to have the WORST scouting team/department in recent history. they can only pick up pitchers' telltale signs in the 1st innings and can't do anything after that. even when they pick up pitchers' tipping signs, they still cannot hit with RiSP. once the pitchers settle in, astros batters are just up there guessing.
Sunday yet, Pray For Runs. Too bad Manager Joey got dealt with DeJesus Sanchez and Ramon Urias because I think every GM is thinking ?!?!?!?!?!? Do they have baseball cards of those 2 players, if they do I'm pretty sure as much as Dubon. Watch out for Korea, it is going to ignite.
The hitting and quality of ABs has been abysmal... literally 3 over the minimum through 8. 1-2-3, Cancun!
Like I said after the game last night, I’m not upset that they are losing games. That’s baseball and I think the As are better than their record shows. I’m just disappointed in the complete lack of fight this team has showed. They don’t deserve a playoff spot at this rate and if they do get one, it will likely be because the Tigers have had probably one of the biggest meltdowns to end a season in MLB history.
3 months ago, i was told astros were going to run away with the division and fight for 2nd seed. too bad we currently live in this timeline.
