MIGHT be wrong? Trump is just asking questions, not giving medical advice... “Don’t take Tylenol. There’s no downside. Don’t take it. You’ll be uncomfortable. It won’t be as easy, maybe, but don’t take it. If you’re pregnant, don’t take Tylenol.”
Be careful talking about checks and the big guy --- you might be part of a congressional investigation.
I've been quiet on this whole thread because as incorrect and whacky as Trump is.... There is some links between Tylenol and neurodevelopmental issues. It's not conclusive from a scientific standpoint, but it does urge caution in that a pregnant woman shouldn't use tylenol unless it's absolutely necessary (to reduce a fever which can also be damaging to a fetus).
The general recommendation is t avoid anything while pregnant unless you have to. It’s not because it causes issues, it’s because nobody is going to execute a large scale trial where they purposefully give women that don’t need it, Tylenol like i said th There are some very small in only small studies increases risk of cleft lip/palate there is nothing about autism coming out and making a recommendation is malpractice this government is the most disgraceful in our nations history. Incompetence is too kind of a word and malice still doesn’t cover it. and you still have MAGA groveling over their diarrhea
I agree - and I agree Trump shouldn't wade into this and it's best for medical professionals to give advice.
There are some links between autism and the consumption of water as well. Roughly half of all pregnant women are estimated to use Tylenol at least once. There is as much evidence that the use of Tylenol is linked to ADHD as there is autism. A number of studies were done AFTER the fact, with women that have autistic children remembering if they took Tylenol - they were ALL observational studies. There is a stronger correlation between expectant mothers having high fevers and autism and Tylenol use and autism. Even the USDA said something different than what Trump said --- the USDA said there is "possible association" and Trump said: “Don’t take Tylenol,” and urging pregnant women to “fight like hell not to take it.” This is despite the fact high fevers have a stronger correlation to autism than Tylenol. Also --- doctor's already tell pregnant women not to take Tylenol unless necessary, as it is the one medication that can be used. This was INCREDIBLY irresponsible by the President... and his medical advice is inaccurate.
Best I can do is a whale-carcass-hauling, bear-carcass-posing, germ-theory-denying, brain-worm-housing snake oil salesman that sounds like a scratched CD of lawnmower sounds.
