We all are in shambles over losing FVV and Houston Sports as a whole looking horrific. But on a lighter note, Rockets Media Day Interviews will be Must See TV. Imagine the facial expressions on Durant starting off here with no FVV. And Stone sweating and dodging questions on why he didn’t get another backup ballhandler or atleast leave enough cap space for a vet minimum as a backup for our current situation.
I imagine they don't care anywhere near as much as a few hyperventilating fans about having to go into the season without an old 5'10 PG who put up a 51% TS% last season. Well, Ime is probably crying about not getting to play him over 40 minutes where he scores 8 points on 15 shots. Other than Ime, no one should care.
I never thought this team would do anything even with FVV. Ya'll got way too hyped when we got KD. Hence why I said he is overrated.
Four teams had media day this week. All other NBA teams will have media day on Monday the 29th. "Must see" doesn't begin to describe Rockets media day this year.
We're ok. Amen is going to be the lead guard for like 36 minutes. That leaves roughly 20 minutes on average to be split between Durant (25), Sheppard (20), and Holiday (15). Okogie, Tate and DFS can provide some minutes guarding bigger guards. I think we'll be absolutely fine till trade options open up and we see where we need the most help. Don't forget that FVV shot poorly last season (34.5%) and we sustained it. Really excited for media day it's going to be a big season.
Dont think FVV was there point of attraction, hes a old regressing guard that brought vet/leadership. Now the rockets added big time leadership in Durant. Along with Finnley Smith, Okogie and Capela to pair around rockets Young New Dynamic Duo Thompson and Segun.. why Durant came here, He brought some guys with him that really take the FVV/Brooks Team away, and build on new foundation FVV who?
