Let's hire him as an offensive consultant and if we need to make a move at OC, try him for interim.... Need some outside blood assessing our people...
Absolutely would go for this, anybody with head coaching experience at the college or pro level to help with this offense.
Opportunity at a higher level. Front of the line for an OC job that may open up. He could be 2-3 years away from nfl head coach which is a lot of money. What other nfl team would look at him right now?
I don't know anything about Mike Gundy or the offense he runs. But the idea of the Texans getting someone with experience to help Nick Caley needs to happen. I keep stumping for Mike McCarthy; I'd love for them to call Mike Munchak. Hell, call Gary Kubiak. Or Charlie Weis. SOMEONE with experience who can help Caley. DeMeco sat on his hands for MONTHS knowing Slowick was in over his head; to not proactively put help in place ASAP for Caley is coaching malpractice.
Oklahoma State rank of yards per game in Big 12, current to oldest: 15 13 8 8 6 5 4 3 2 4 5 7 3 2 2 1 7 3 3 4 The stretch from 2006 to 2019 he averaged 3rd or 4th in the big 12 on offense that interests me. That's 8 times in 14 years with 3rd or better. He definitely hit the skids the last few years though. His best QBs that stretch: Mason Rudolph Brandon Weeden Tylan Wallace Dillon Stoner Jake Mclure Taylor Cornelius Jalen Mcleskey Chris Carson Austin Hays JW Walsh Just thinking an opinion from someone with a lot of experience from the outside couldn't hurt. Personally I think Klint Kubiak could fix things.
