If it is just the covid vaccine, there was some clinical studies. A multi-year, extensive clinical study was not in the cards in late 2020. (And now post-facto in 2025, the covid vaccine has been extensively studied.) WRT the covid vaccine being "clearly profit driven from big pharma" ... I mean WTF. We three choices at the end of 2020 1. continue isolation (which almost nobody wanted) 2. start a comprehensive vaccine campaign 3. herd immunity aka kill grandma now These choices are not mutually exclusive. Most people were willing to take the vaccine to get out of the house and avoid "killing granma now". Taking the vaccine means big pharma had to make it and profit from it. Most people did not include big pharma profit motives in their decision.
