Lol, Cam is not a point guard and he didn’t want to be here. I’ve come to realize that I was enamored with Cam because of his athleticism, because the more I rewatch some games the more I realize how much of a negative he was. He was not a factor that contributed to winning basketball AT ALL.

I love Reeds defense but his shooting is gonna have to dramatically improve for him to even sniff a start. Who woulda thought we'd be saying those words about him a year ago.
If Reed comes out and plays scared like he did last year, I’m going to be disappointed. I want to see RGV Reed from the get-go.
He’ll no. Amen will be running that backcourt between the two Should’ve kept Cam. Him and Reed could be competing for that backcourt vacancy as I see Amen & Sengun being the “playmakers” when KD doesn’t have the ball
I’ll get trashed on here for saying it, but one of two things is likely to start the season: 1) Amen takes over much of the PG duties. 2) Holiday moves in as starter (and ClutchFans explodes). If Sheppard balls out during training camp, he could win the job and we’d all be ecstatic, but I think that’s a fantasy at this point.
That is exactly correct. Reed will get a chance here and there to run the offense, especially if Amen is out of the game, but mostly he will play off ball.
Give Reed a chance before we pan him. He played like a scrub in SL but fortunately there's no correlation between SL and real season play. In Reed's case he is already a decent defender and made some good passes in SL. The shooting is the only thing missing lets hope he improves more than the 33% he shot last year.

Amen will take over pg duties no matter what. Reeds role in college is more of a playmaking SG alongside that dude in Minny. Holiday also isnt a playmaker the only reason he plays PG is he is 6'0. If Reed plays bad I expect Tari to start.

Not gonna lie, after the regular season ended I really wanted FVV out…just got tired of his poor shooting and his overall game…but then he did step up in the playoffs… I will say this, getting a ton of minutes with starters could go a long way for Reed…In other words, some freaking real playing time to show what he can do…If Castle was drafted, he also wouldn’t have got any playing time last year… If Reed doesn’t work out, I’m very confident Stone will trade for a PG and to be honest, it is isn’t that difficult to replace a FVV…
He can't pass. I guess he can run a pick n roll with a shoot first assignment. He can spot up a space the floor with Amen at the one.
I don't care about the regular season, FVV was a safety blanket in the Playoffs, I doubt they stick with Sheppard. They are going to go for a Veteran PG at the deadline/before the Playoffs, that is 90% certain for me. They might even add a PG before that. Even if Sheppard becomes a semi star during the season which is a big question mark, I doubt he can guard all the Star PGs in the Playoffs. Also that puts a lot of pressure on 'tall-ish' Sheppard and Holiday, one has another injury, out for a month, that tent is going to fold very soon......especially with Rafael Stone amassing only Wings and Centers..... this used to be a guard's league.
what are talking about “He can’t pass”? He’s probably the 3rd best passer on the team. He does have issue with the quickness of defenders but he can definitely pass the ball well. His full court passes are great too
