Coach speak. Fans are going to start tuning the Texans out again soon if it continues.

Injuries. He’s not dumb he didn’t choose to start a new line each week. We were missing key players week 1 and our center got hurt in that game.

    That’s bullshit.

Fischer was a healthy inactive today despite heavy resources invested and expected to be a starter this season. Robinson was the starter in week 1 and is now a backup.

They’ve had 7 guys play at least 40 snaps this year… that’s unheard of this early in the season.

They’ve been FAFO’ing with o-line bullshit since before last season. The reality is there’s not a single adult who’s ever actually “built” an O-line in this organization right now.

(And by no means am I advocating for any of these guys… just pointing out the dysfunction that they’re still trying to “figure out” the right combinations…. Largely due to lack of talent and possibly not having a clue on how to really do this.)

That's a great point. Most every QB coming out of HS to College is on a total "read and react" system

DeMeco is going to lose control of the locker room if he doesn't fire Caley (and perhaps other offensive coaches) soon.

You clearly didn’t follow the Texans during camp and in preseason. Today’s starting unit was the one they expected to go into game 1 with. Problem was Ed Ingram was injured so they had to shift tytus Howard to guard. Then Patterson got injured in the Rams game.

They signed Robinson in offseason expecting him to be the starter but he got beat out by other guys. They even tried to trade him. The unit today was the best unit we had during camp and in preseason.

They did a massive shuffle due to both injury and sub-par performance the last 3 weeks. Fischer and Robinson have gotten significant playing time as well. They’ll probably shuffle it again next week due to some glaring weaknesses. The key is who is qualified enough to say “this is the best version of a line we can have…”. Who is qualified to do this week to week shuffling like its a standard practice?

But sure, if you’re of the mindset that “this is the best unit they could have, and everything has worked out!”…. Not sure what else can be said.

(You’re probably amongst the people they refer as part of Texans communist radio…. “Everything fine, we did great.”… maybe you should stop drinking what they’re serving. They deserve ridicule and then some).

If the Giants fire Brian Daboll, really at any point but certainly during the early part of this season, the Texans should absolutely, positively fire Caley and hire Daboll exactly :60 after the Giants issues the press release. Same for Kevin Stefanski (a little less likely with the win today).

They're not firing Daboll anytime soon.

If you want their DC, he might be available.

Nah bro. He’s part of the Patriots tree and he’s not been able to fix the Giants Oline since he got there. Plus, and this is the biggest mark against him, Daniel Jones sucked under him and turned into Indianapolis Jones under Shane Steichen.

Yes the other tackles got playing time cuz Tytus is our better option at guard when Ingram is injured. How do you not get this? No one said anything about our line being good. This team flat out sucks but to blame the amount of guys we are playing on the olive as an issue was just flat wrong. It happened out of necessity cuz of injuries. That’s all I’m saying.

Caley did not want to play all those guys he was forced too cuz of injuries.

Once a guy becomes gunshy and gets a case of the happy feet he rarely overcomes it.

So you’re saying it’s impossible for a 23 year old, who regresses from a rookie season, to get back on track? Almost as idiotic as the Texans front office.

Hell, you have multiple examples this year of former first round QB”s given up on by their idiot former teams and they’re now thriving with the right schemes/coaches…. And that’s just this year.

Ultimately, they pick up the pace during the Jacksonville game, shorten the routes, and Stroud was effective enough to get them in position to win. Their initial gameplans aren’t effective because they can’t protect base defense, they can’t run the balll, and yes Stroud is developing some pretty shitty habits due to that.

I can connect you with some suffering fan bases who also thought their QB’s were “ruined beyond repair”…. They’re still suffering while those QB’s got better elsewhere.

I already said it’s the personnel thats the problem…. And thus why shuffling guys around now, making some inactive, making some the starter that weren’t starting week one (and not because of injury) becomes the “fix”…. Because you’re trying to turn chicken **** into chicken salad.
