yeah...let's look back at what's been done in the past...and not look at today....let's go back and look at when we were 20 games over.500 and not where we are now. That'll be comforting as we watch post season from the sidelines. We can make all the excuses we want...it is a TOTAL COLLAPSE.
My wife tells me that *every* year since we got together (1998), I have said "I think this is our year."
Wow. The implosion is real. I just got situated to sit down and watch the game only to see the score....
Yeah. It’s a choke because they weren’t even competitive in so many games down the stretch, like this very important home series. Yes, no one here needs to be reminded that we had injuries. It is what it is. We had a nice lead, and were 20 games over .500. Choked away the rest of the season.
Durant and Sengun probably gonna get abducted by a spaceship and wont be seen again til 10 years from now. : deep sigh:
Dude, go look at the injuries (and more importantly WHO was injured). That is the sole reason for the "collapse". A healthy Astros team boat races the division. I do think some changes need to be made in the coaching staff. Their hitting approach is bad and 3rd base coach is awful. Probably should ahve picked up some pitching at the deadline too. That's another reason for the 2nd half struggles.
Ding dong the witch is dead. Joe Espada is gone. Along with the hitting coaches. Along with whatever that was along the third base foul line. Rejoice!!! Our long national nightmare is finally over.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DD
Did I not just say “nobody here needs to be reminded of the injuries”? Did I not just ****ing say that? It was a huge choke. Regardless of the excuses.
Agree...I mean we haven't even been competitive for the last like the last 60 games for the most part. Sure Alexander was a surprise this year. But, the really good pitchers shine when the bright lights are on. In little more than an inning, you walk in a run and give up a grand salami to the #9 hitter...and,still not through giving up runs.
The team that the Astros passed for most injury plagued season was the 2019 Yankees. That team took us to 7 games in that grueling ALCS. no excuses
Injuries ? There are people who have heart bypass surgery that recover more quickly than some of our "injuries". Severe ankle sprain from running to home plate...really. Miss 100 games and am out again running to home ? Wow.
