I only got to see a few plays, still shocked that with the lineup and pitching they’re still in it. It’s baseball, I always want my team to make the playoffs, who ****ing knows what can happen.
The team has been flat since the WS win in 2022. or the start of the 2023 season. However you want to word it.
If we make the playoffs, I'm sure I'll get pushback on this, I'm leaving Framber off the roster. I'd go with Brown, Javier, Alexander and Blubaugh before I trotted the head case out there. I'm grateful for what he did in '22, but in my 55 yrs of watching MLB I've NEVER seen a dude who could go from being one of the top 5 pitchers in all of baseball to these countless meltdowns. I've seen comments on here, "we're not winning a WS without him". F that. The way we're playing I don’t see a WS and I sure in the heck am done with this head case. On top of that this clown has cost himself MILLIONS. He's NOT a good investment. I'm sure some team offers him 3/75 but that's it.
So, it was hard to tell if the ball was caught in real time. I thought he caught it, but I wasn’t 100% sure. Is the umpire supposed to immediately signal it an out so the base runners know how to proceed, or do the runners make their own judgement and just go? Seems like the runners need to watch to see how the ump rules before proceeding. Myers wasn’t even the tying run, so it seems he should have been very cautious.
His run does not matter, he should go 2 steps, watch the play and if caught go back. This was a LITTLE LEAGUE base running blunder. DD
Because he ****ed up. There's one out: you get ready to tag from 2B, guy on 1B is halfway, ready to go forward or back, depending on if the ball is caught or not
He's right. Meyers has a much better angle on whether its caught or not. He should be ready to retreat if/when the OF catches the ball. His run doesn't mean anything.
