So this is why Altuve always looks back...

So can we blame Altuve for looking back when running...?

My guess here is 3B coach didn't see Victor Robles. His eyes were probably focusing on Julio Rodriguez and as soon as he see JRod wasn't going to get that, he waved Meyers home then Victor Robles came out of RF to catch the ball.

Fundamental baseball seems to have left the building, aggravating to see.

Nope I didn't watch a second of it. I did see the mlb app pbp plus the comments on here.

What I do know is that dumbass Joe put that man as 3rd base coach and never removed him during the season. Could have faked some kind of ailment to save him embarrassment, I don't care, just get rid of him.

Meyers HAS TO KNOW in that situation you can't be doubled off. No he's just stupidly following the command of the worst 3rd base coach in MLB history.

This team is poorly run by a buffoon.

    Surely you can see this.

Well, Myers looked back and hesitated between 2nd and 3rd ....after he came on to third I guess you go on and wave him home...didn't matter at that point IMO. With Altuve ,,, if you look back and still run into an out..same result.

Why make a great catch end the game by doubling you off ...I agree with that thought.

I’d rather miss the playoffs than get our ass handed to us. Sim to spring training this season is done.

If the playoffs started today, Cleveland the 3rd Wild Card and The Astros are out

I said the exact same thing, right before the broadcast said the exact same thing.

I think the Mariners are the better-managed team. They have better pitching, too. I wish them well. I have Astro fatigue. This has been a stressful and disappointing season.

Hoping to make the playoffs and still have the guts to fire manager, hitting coach, and 3rd base coach.

BTW...watching replay...as Meyers is almost home...Pena is one step from being back on first...pretty silly and not smart by Jake.

Man fck the mariners...I hope they get swept out in the first round. Disappointing season no doubt, but really disappointed in the worst starting pitcher for the Astros since the allstar break.
