    Its crystal clear what happened to any non-partisan person. Kimmel was on the way out regardless. His show sucked and nobody was watching. The network told him to chill the **** out for the duration. He refused. He threatened to amplify. ABC has a business to run and they were not going at bat for a loser who was about to get fired after his contract.

    Kimmel is the lazy fat girlfriend who thinks she is in control of the relationship. Now that she is kicked out, she is now bad mouthing her ex.

    Yeah totally he was on his way out which is why he got fired hours after the FCC threatened the corporation with consequences lol. Yall can keep making up whatever braindead conspiracies you want but none of it will take away from the facts.

    Jimmy Kimmel was fired mere hours after the FCC threatened major consequences. Thats the fact in this case no matter how much yall cope

    What's "indecent" about opining if a person is of a certain political affiliation?

    Again, people are killed every day. And the killers are either MAGA or liberal. It's a fact.

    The only thing that may make a joke a subject to the original cancel culture - what you call "indecent" - is if it spreads hate towards a section of population. a MAGA person killing a MAGA person happens every day somewhere out there - pointing it out is insensitive towards MAGA & funny to liberals, but it's just the type of political nature now. We hate each other. And if you start taking away jokes from liberals, you can expect them to go to polls, because in this mean world & angry world, jokes are the only thing that help us stand it.

    Even @Os_Trigonum might vote against Trump if jokes are banned. I do wonder...

    It was a simple question, was him claiming the shooter to be a maga a joke?

    Actual quote

    Maga gang" was "desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them" and of trying to "score political points from it".

    What does it mean?

    There was a 9-0 Supreme Court decision by this current court that would indicate if someone wanted to file violentation of first amendment, it would be successful

    Verbatim, that's exactly what happened in real time.

    Nowhere does he say what the shooter's motivations or affiliations might have been; nowhere does he express glee or approval of what happened

    ABC fired him after a threat from the FCC.

    I know facts are hard to accept.

    @foh
    @Buck Turgidson

    Why was Kimmel saying he was going to explain what said on his next show? Why did he feel a need to?

    I'm not apologizing for expecting decency after a murder

    Why do you turn on that expectation selectively? Is it only certain kinds of violence or murders that should expect decency?

    I've responded to your accusation of indecency on Kimmel's part & you didn't seem to read it, as indicated by your random questions.

    I don't know the point you're trying to make and don't have time to try and squeeze it out of you w/ single sentence posts.

    Again, saying ABC fired him AFTER a threat from the FCC is not the same as saying that ABC fired him BECAUSE of a threat from the FCC.
