Both, CJ hasn't played much under center in his life. Also the ol is pretty bad, especially at run blocking.

It's not on the OC if the QB cant read the field and make the correct and accurate throws.

Landry warned us about the Patriots offense. Google Erhardt-Perkins offensive system that’s what the Patriots offense is based on. You freaking need a brilliant QB AND WRs And I don’t mean physically brilliant either. They need to be crazy smart. The WR has to recognize the coverage like a QB, it’s why Edelman was so good for them cuz he was a QB in college.

Charlie Weiss tried to install that ish at ND and realized that he needed more practice time than what was allowed by the NCAA. And he was working with pretty smart football players. So he changed half way through his tenure.

Would explain why in 2018 when Eldeman was hurt for 6 games. Brady was one of the worst against blitzes. 59 rating, 31st league wide thru November.
This is according to my HAL 9000 not to be confused with mechahitler. If someone does subscribe to mechahitler, I wouldn't mind knowing the Brady 2018 blitz stats from that source.

Landry unloaded on Caley on S&L today. Compared him to BoB in that he doesn’t trust rookies, overthinks plays and curls into a ball when his offense is failing, he especially was pissed about Caley waxing poetic about Dare even though he was the worst pass pro grade of any RB in Texans history.

Also said he is using Nico like pre Slowik OCs did.

Edit: When we poop the bed against Jax Sunday I’m starting the hire Mike McDaniel as OC thread.

That is one thing that hasn’t been expressed much. Stroud has been less accurate than his rookie year, even when not being harassed. I think he gets it together, but it better be soon or we will not win the decision. 0-3 with the difficult schedule we have this year is close to insurmontible.

But doesn't the constant pressure and line breaking down every other play impact those sorts of facets?

I'm sure there's been plenty of studies done how shitty line play, or shitty pass-blocking schemes, leads to QB regression.... in all phases.

Stroud had a damn good year last year despite the line being the worst in the league. It is looked at negatively because of how good his rookie season was. Even this year, with further line regression and NO running game, he's still able to get some net positives and keep the team in position to win the games without the crippling self-inflicted mistakes.

But everybody down there should be looking at themselves wondering what they're doing.... Casserio, Demeco, McNairs.... everybody.

You have a young QB with all the talent in the world... and you're not giving him experienced coaches who've called plays before, you're not giving him real investment/talent on the line, and you're not giving him a running game.

Brady is already on record saying how important the coaching (from all the guys with grey hairs) was early-on in terms of how to read defenses at the line and how to adjust things accordingly.

Regardless who the Texans QB is... they don't have that sort of coaching experience on the side of the ball where it really matters on an individual (QB) level.

Lance Z breakdowns, they were talking about Nico running a completely different route tree than the previous 2 seasons.
They're going to be cohesive eventually but will it be too late for this season.
Wish they'd played more in the preseason knowing they would have to adjust live to defenses. Not like the intramural practices.
