Have anyone watched V for Vendetta. It starts with a comedy show host getting (literally) sacked in it, I believe.

I haven't watched news for a few years and this is what I see: 1) American gov-t shutting down a comedy show for a political opinion. 2) American gov-t shutting down talent based (H1B) legal immigration - and history of Elon Musks and Manhattan Project folks be damned.

The hell this America's new maga Greatness is about when our fundamental principles (freedom of speech & exceptionalism) are being so blatantly rejected by powers that be (POTUS is what - a 2nd generation immigrant?, FLOTUS is 1st generation?)

& plz, "cancel culture" is about society's judgement & not BIll of Right - racist in a country made up of a lot of races, is going to be disliked just like a guy screaming "fire" in a movie theater.

Let's say that Kimmel offended half the country, but at the same time I'm sure the guy who got killed said stuff that upset half the country too. Both are public figures. We don't fire public figures because they offend. Trump would be fired million times over - that's his favorite thing to do.

Our country is going down the drain. What kind of legacy are the MAGA supporters looking to leave to our kids? Create a one party system, like in surveillance states that is China & Russia?

your wealth disparity argument makes little sense, because voters hired a guy who got rid of estate tax and lowered taxes for the rich (ie increased the disparity further), so you're saying, it seems, that Americans want their "land of the free" to become opposite since the only other way to get rid of (obvious) wealth disparity is to have an autocracy (Trump obviously wouldn't want to tax himself as has been shown in his first term.)
