I'm not sure how simply posting some facts I found online is a "weak strawman." But you do you, Mr "Maybe they are eating the dogs!"

    The rest... sure.

Yes, very few are against legal immigration.

Those few are in power, making it not a strawman but very real. Green card holders are being detained and deported. Tourists are being denied entry because of tattoos or some online postings that are considered "security" concerns. Legally protected migrants are losing that protection and being deported. Afghans who are legally allowed in for their work with the U.S. military are losing their status and being detained and deported. Etc., just to name a few off the top of my head.

Shackling 300+ Korean workers on short-term visas like criminals was unnecessary. They were here because no local talent could do the job. Legal or not (they were here legally, but the US says they can’t work), the Koreans believed they were following the rules, and our confusing laws are part of the problem. The US should have handled this with a conversation, not a political show for a domestic audience. Now the GA plant that will bring thousands of local jobs is delayed, and the political fallout in Asia puts future investment from Asian countries at risk.

The US is scrambling to fix the mess, but the damage is real. Korean workers won’t return without guarantees they’ll be treated humanely. The plant will likely be finished because too much money is sunk into it, but good luck hitting deadlines or quality targets.

This was reckless, incompetent, and whoever authorized this raid without doing basic due diligence should be fired.

Trump lifting the AMERICAN WORKER by increasing the price of H1B Visas.

    https://www.reuters.com/business/me...h-1b-visas-bloomberg-news-reports-2025-09-19/

Trump to impose $100,000 fee per year for H-1B visas

SAN FRANCISCO/WASHINGTON, Sept 19 (Reuters) - The Trump administration said on Friday it would ask companies to pay $100,000 per year for H-1B worker visas, prompting some big tech companies to warn visa holders to stay in the U.S. or quickly return.

"If you're going to train somebody, you're going to train one of the recent graduates from one of the great universities across our land," said Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. Train Americans. Stop bringing in people to take our jobs."

H1B visa holders who are out of the country must return TONIGHT. I am not participating in Operation Clog the Toilet but it does reveal the level of frustration for American workers who have been displaced.
