His name intrigued me and after looking at this draft profile I'm on board to add a Dunker to our OL... https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Gennings-Dunker-OL-Iowa
I’m still trying to learn to say/spell this year’s draft picks. We are already talking about next year’s draft picks.
I am always down for a country strong, Kirk Ferentz lineman! He plays RT at Iowa but lacks the length and athleticism to stay there I suspect which will drive him down. Id probably spend a second on him to just not have to think about RG for a decade but, for now, Im thinking a third and pick a RT (Miller) to push Fisher at that spot in the second. Miller is an ironman who started as a true freshman at Clemson and hasnt missed a game since.
Its an obsession.... 1. CJ Allen - No more discussing Christian Harris vs. To'o To'o and forget re-sginging a 30 year old Azeez after next year. Allen has all pro ability and will bridge the Will Anderson front with Stingley and co secondary. I think he has Roquan Smith upside. 2, Blake Miller - So much for counting on Blake Fisher. Miller is 6'6'', 315 with 35 inch arms and is a 4 year starter at a power 5 school without missing a game. He's not franchise guy but he is a legit NFL OT who should be an immediate starter. 2. Zane Durant - Undersized at 6'1'', 290, Durant wins with freakish athleticism and strength, think Aaron Donald. He is no Aaron Donald. But, especially in a rotation, Kmart Aaron Donald is pretty f***ing nice. 3. Gennings Dunker - Country strong OL from the Kirk Ferentz Iowa lineman factory. Very successful RT who I think transitions inside to OG in the pros. 4. Darrell Jackson (or Demonte Capehart) - Adding beef to the DLine. 4. Le'Veon Moss - Adding to Marks in the RB by committee stable. 6', 215. 5. Logan Jones - 6'3'', 290 C from Iowa. See Dunker above re: Iowa. Jones is a sick athlete for an OL as well. As of now this is the type of draft I would support. It shores up each line for the future and adds another playmaker to the Defense at LB. Moss and Marks would, I think, be a competent 1-2 punch at RB to elevate our ground game too. The 6/7 rounds would just be for high upside swings or Ht/Wt/Speed guys for special teams.
True Green was a real disaster. But other than Ersery, who do you like in the second? Fisher? Scruggs? Too early to know for sure?
