    I'm thinking Spaghetti is Morton.

    Blubaugh can be Cole.

    Javier can be McCullers

    Alexander is Keuchel

Don't be surprised if Blubaugh ends up being the "Gerrit Cole" instead

The 2 seed is very attainable. Detroit has been reeling a bit. They have 4 games left against Cleveland (who they’ve struggled with), 3 vs Atlanta, and 3 on the road against Boston to close out the season (both teams will be playing for something). The Astros would need to finish 1 game ahead of the Tigers and win the West to get the 2 seed. But it’s very possible- especially if they can handle business against Seattle.

The Astros are tied 5-5 in the season series against Seattle. The winner of this 3 game set this weekend will take the season series and own the tiebreaker. Buckle up. Should be an interesting week and a half

I think Javier is in the same camp as Brown, much closer to a JV approach. Live up high in the zone with the heater and set their eye level and then come back with the slider or other occasional breaking pitch.

Alexander is maybe like a Brad Peacock.

I do think Arrighetti is like a Morton because that breaking pitch can be so devastating and has so much movement and the fastball plays off of it.

Blubaugh has that straight change he likes to throw about 20% of the time. I'm trying to think of someone who had a straight change like that. Otherwise there definitely is some Cole in him.

Walter some comparison to a Keuchel where spotting the ball is paramount for his success. I'll be happy to see him back next season.

We were a missed called 3rd strike from a 6-3 6-1 5-2 domination of the Rangers, where the Rangers took their tennis racket and went home crying.

Let's play this out within reason.

Astros take the next 3 series by a 2-1 margin.

That's 90-72. Seattle finishes tied with us but loses the division.

Detroit loses 2 of the 4 remaining games vs Cleveland. They take 2 of 3 from Atlanta but lose 2 of 3 to Boston. That's a 5-5 finish and that's a 90-72 record. They hold the tiebreaker.

I will say it would take a major miracle to win it all if we don't get the bye. We desperately need to reset the rotation every round of the playoffs leading off with Brown, and if we have to play the WC round, then that's not happening.

The key to all of this happens starting at noon tomorrow.

If the Tigers lose with Skubal on the mound vs Bibee, the Tigers are cooked. They will not get the bye. That will go to the AL West winner.

    Watch that game intently.

    Y'all enjoy.

I want to be optimistic, but I just don't see how we can win a game Framber starts.

Walter is having surgery - I don’t think you’ll be seeing him again next season. I believe this is his second one as well so who knows if we’ll ever see him again.

I know y’all don’t literally mean he’ll be as good as Cole but IMO comparing any of our current guys to Cole is downplaying how damn good Cole was for us. The guy struck out 326 guys in 2019 lol

What do we make of Kimbrel?

His era is 2.00 but his WHIP was also 2.00 before last night's appearance.

That WHIP is higher than McCullers's 1.85.

This makes Will Harris's 2019 with a WHIP of 0.933... ELITE.
