Colorado is not red, and Texas will also not be red. An issue like this will bring full participation of the electorate and if that is not followed there will be consequences. There are more registered democrats than republicans in Texas.

It's funny how most every major Democrat you can name opposed same-sex marriage the entirety of their political careers and then suddenly we saw a wave of epiphanies around 2012 and they all suddenly realized in their 50s/60s/70s that actually they had been awful bigots their entire lives and decided they needed to change after some soul searching.

Still people in this very thread wonder why the Civil Rights Act had to be passed. I remember my grandfather telling me about heading thru Vidor to go to work in the 50's-60's. You get stopped after the sunset and you had one warning by the local cops, n*gger if you can't read run and don't come thru our town again after sundown. All the way until the late 90's really, I knew folks that were scared to even have to change a flat tire near that area.
