It shouldn't be surprising. He got the job because of his unquestioned loyalty to Trump over anything else. He is a dangerous person because he is ambitious, has fluid ethics and is not terribly qualified.

 

Regulate, but coerce is perfectly fine.

The CRA does not coerce private individuals. It coerces private businesses that serve the public, or employers with 15+ employees. Individuals can discriminate non-violently all they want.. just their businesses can't. That is how it was constitutional.

I, too, wish the CRA weren’t necessary, because a "bad" gov could absolutely abuse it. But the reality is that without it, large segments of minorities would have remained permanently held back (even today).

 

The 1964 Civil Rights Act is probably the most important piece of legislation in over 100 years. It was necessary because the white male power establishment refused to treat anyone other than white males as equals. Rather than making that realization and being ashamed, people are doubling down on how it wasn't necessary. Without that Act, the level of discrimination and poverty in 2025 for non-white's would be far worse.

 

That describes most of the people Trump has working for him. There are a few smart ones, but they are using their smarts for evil purposes.

 

I don't believe anything yet - but something isn't adding up......it might be as simple as they say, but it might not.

Certainly doesn't help with Patel out there lying about everything and Trump fanning the flames of hate by blaming the left when the guy was a Groyper.
