Johnson is working with a Gen Z Nil Era child with an ‘alleged’ learning disability. Say what you want about CJ but he’s not pulling the BS that Caleb is with the Bears. Read Tyler Dunne’s piece House of Dysfunction, The Curious Case of Caleb Williams, really good read.
To this point Nick is a bust, you can scheme all day long but when the quality of the player is a hot mess, what did we expect. Ersery is our best OL and the rest would not be starting with another team. Crazy how the Bucs lost their LT, RT and still handled our D Line They won't fire him and I don't blame them after 2 games, but SOMETHING has to change...................this could be a long year. I am not sure what this offense can do against playoff caliber teams. Overall, our coaching has not been good on either side of the ball.................if we lose to the Jags, of boy, talk about a hot mess
we could win 12 in a row and I'm not getting over the shotgun from the one yard line with no pick play.
Ran that s*** three times yesterday (twice after the Nico catch put us on the one, and then the failed two point conversion). It's two games, but so far he looks like a damn fool.
Guest this morning on 610 said McVey runs a ton of under center stuff. Said CJ may not be comfortable under center so that’s why you don’t see some the Rams things. Idk. Makes sense since Stafford is part of that last wave of guys who where trained under center in college.
Definitely not in the mood right now to rewatch the game, but what ever happened to all of the pre snap motion and OL misdirection after the snap that Caley promised during camp? You know, the stuff we saw the Rams do all game. Anybody else remember seeing any of this beyond the usual?
They hoped a new remodeled offensive line would display marked improvement over 2024. It has not. Stroud needs quick throws on short routes from the likes of Kirk, Berrios, & Noel. Should be obvious now if it wasn’t during camp
THIS. I'm not entirely convinced that the O.C. performance / play-calling across 2 different individuals is the outcome of a flawed gameplan as much as it is an poorly-conceived adjustment to my premise that #7 is seeing ghosts, and has ZERO trust in the line to protect him- his decision-making has suffered greatly since Season 1 and he's flubbing easy throws. His OL is just big guys; they are not the Hell's Angels that he needs. I predict, as a Mulugheta client, that he won't stick around beyond a Franchise tag year to let the team trade Ft. Knox for a line that can protect him. His confidence is circling the drain in Houston. See: David Carr.
