There was a tweet yesterday from a left leaning journalist saying that family members said that the shooter was upset with Charlie Kirk because he wasn’t conservative enough or far enough right, or words to that effect. I suck at the internet and can’t find it again. @astros123 perhaps you recall and are better at this than I am. Could you post it here so we have the relevant reporting in one place?

The Daily Beast, a liberal publication, said there's not a shred of evidence for the Nick Fuentes conspiracy theory. Good for you for trying to keep the lie alive! It is far easier psychologically for you than manning up and admitting that liberals have a violence problem and the transgender community has a murder problem. oh dear, you are upset. I’m sorry. I was under the impression that this was all fun ribbing and “trolling”, if I understand what that term is meant to mean. I don’t know that my posts are properly characterized as lying. I was really having a good time rolling through the first 20 pages or so if this thread (or was it the other one, it’s hard to keep it straight) identifying the folks who judged the shooter to be a lefty before the shooter was even identified. The belief that the shooter, now identified, is a groyper isn’t a fact as much as it is an opinion or theory. So it is kind of hard to lie about an opinion (unless of course one lies about holding an opinion when one does not, which was not the case here.). All that said, if you are upset and I have taken this ribbing too far, I apologize. In truth, I don’t know you at all. Maybe you’re actually a good dude and if so, my bad. I have my doubts, but I stand by the apology if you’re actually upset. (Btw, not to nit pick, but I think the daily beast said it hasn’t been able to confirm. I don’t think it would say there isn’t a shred of evidence.).
I’m just learning about the Nick Fuentes v Kirk beef, so maybe I haven’t got it right. But my understanding is Fuentes and groyper are the farthest right and they’re upset that super conservative Kirk isn’t as far right as they are. He apparently failed to bash on gay people, women and minorities enough to their liking. I don’t know that those folks considered Kirk moderate, but I don’t know what labels they used.
