I love having Alpi on the team and I have no desire to flip him... but if u let me pair KD up with Giannis for the next couple years... that may be a reasonable all-in, future be damned scenario... jus sayin...
Alpi has silenced me for the time being at least until we see a bunch of regular season games paired with Amen and Durant. I guess I consider him untradeable till game 20 or so of the season. Really impressive performances imo.
Giannis in Houston would get called for an offensive foul everytime he throws a shoulder. Refs hate us remember
I think Giannis is the #2 player in the world straight up after Jokic, and I don't even really think Shai's that close in all honesty. I'd rather shave my penis with a rusty cheesegrater than trade Alpi for him though. Look at the rise we're seeing from Şengün, seriously, for those who haven't go and watch the Eurobasket games. Even if he never gets to top 3 in the league, that's the guy we want leading our team for the next 10 years, he's a new type of star-level player, there's never been another Şengün in the league. We don't need to try and cash in on the end point of a different unique star's career, we've got our own, and his style of ball is really, really fun to watch. We've made it fellas, we may even get another one with Amen, but we've finally got that new young centrepiece after the end of the Beard era (which I'll always love even if he went out as a straight up b**** standing at half court in a fat suit not joining in.)
See that's funny, I'm the opposite, I'd rather do just about anything else OTHER than shave my penis with a rusty cheesegrater. Isn't it amazing that we can share so many opinions on so many things but be so different on one big one?
This funny for two reason, maybe more if we get all quantum on it. It's funny because Alpi is so clearly not at his peak. I thought last year was his peak, then the playoffs happened and we watched Alpi grow. Then it looks like that might be peak Alpi and we get his performance in Eurobasket and he's clearly still growing. Can't wait to see what he can do with the additions to the team and one very important subtraction. And he's only 23. If things break the right way it might be all chicken and no feathers. It's also funny to imagine trading "peak" Alpi. Not in a ha ha sorta way, but in a tragic WTF Luka for AD sorta way. Stone is to competent to do that and Tillman is probably already figuring where he's going to put his next Rainsforest Cafe in Istanbul. There will be more funny in the future as some posters here actually think trading Alpi is a good idea and pretty much and entire country of Turkish basketball fans descend to punish the kafir. And it might also be funny that more of us start tossing in Turkish words or even picking up the language like Jackson Gaitlin from Locked on Rockets.
Giannis literally got stonewalled. Sengun is now the Rox best player since Harden (disregarding KD who is better than Harden).
Your creative language drew me in, but then reading your assessment I have to agree. Sengun's style and pure passion is not only fun to watch and cheer for, but I believe can also be contagious. Blending Alpi, Amen, and KD gives us a unique and rare blend of youth, strength, athletic ability, and talent. I think Alpi and Amen will inspire KD and visa versa. Really looking forward to this season, especially when you sprinkle in our other players, this maybe the year we do something special.
