Meanwhile, other casings could be interpreted as sympathetic to Antifa, or the anti-fascist movement, a loose collection of far-left activists who have been active in the US over the last decade and often demonstrate against Trump policies and far-right groups.

Kirk was a POS but did not deserve this, but knowing he comes from a white Mormon conservative family and seems like a normal kid just raises more questions, a few stations talked to the neighbors, and they all said there a God-fearing loving family

I watched the news conference and when the governor said social media is a Cancer he was spot on, it is ruining this country with lies on top of lies that these kids and adults actually believe and they consume SO MUCH, for some its their entire life...................I am all for free speech, but when everyone is passing lies around how do you monitor it? Do we just let this continue?

I have never shot a gun and no nothing about them, but that shot looked to be between 150-200 yards.......................was that luck, or can some normal kid actually do that, I thought this guy would be a sniper or something with years of training. It does appear he has had guns in his life for many years

 

That's the thing though. People said that about guys like Ted Bundy too. There is a mental illness in those who kill for pleasure, for extremist beliefs, politics, or anything else. It can happen to any kid who was raised in a loving home. I think that some are mentally disturbed from a very young age, and others can be manipulated into believing the "killing" is justified for the cause, whatever that may be. That's why some of those online hate groups, extremists, and such recruit people and feed their young or vulnerable minds with toxic stuff to make them believe they are "patriots" or "heroes" by killing for the cause, and taking out the so called enemies the extremist group hates. Who knows what kind of stuff made that kid so mentally ill or brainwashed to believe he needed to kill someone.

Regardless, there is far too much hate spewing and finger pointing at Democrats or Republicans who have no part in hate groups, terrorist groups, and extremist groups, and who actually condemn all violence. I expect our President, Vice President, and all elected officials to condemn all violence, and stop with toxic and biased takes, minimizing or ignoring one death and amplifying another. Most importantly, stop blaming anyone but the perpetrator himself, and accomplices if there were any. Maybe he was always a bit disturbed. Not everyone seeks treatment. Some families pretend they don't see it in a loved one.

I read somewhere he had a good ACT score and had a scholarship to college, but only went briefly. I think that was on his mom’s Facebook account. This kid decided to stay at home and live with his parents.

College ain’t for everyone and young adults people live with their parents for a lot of reasons. The best reasons are financial ones. But considering the family owned a construction company and lived in a very nice house, it would seem unlikely that this kid was staying at home to save money on rent if he really wanted to go out into the real world, work and learn to become an adult.

Continuing with college could have done this kid some good. I wonder if he heard somewhere that college and education is a waste of time and professors are just trying to indoctrinate young kids.
