Maybe not. My premise is that it will take more than 14m if the Lakers are truly interested. An opportunity to start for the Lakers and playing with Lebron and Luka is worth millions to Adams in endorsements and in the personal satisfaction of starting. I don’t know Adams so maybe being a backup in a situation that has been kind to him rather than the chance of being a starter in LA is more important. I think he was/is a great addition to our team, but just like every other roster move has to be in the context of cap space and who do we want to retain. 14m may be good value, but if it effects our ability to retain Jabari or Tari that has to be weighed.

Lots of teams had a hard time dealing with the Adams/Sengun lineup, including Golden State and the Thunder. Go rewatch the games. The last Thunder game when we started Adams and we were blowing then out by 20 points. Hartenstein and Chet had ZERO answers for Adams. That’s why I feel like we had a good chance of beating the Thunder if we had gotten past GS. Even GS had problems with Adams but Ime just was horrible with coaching and rotations by not playing enough shooters like Jabari and Jeff Green.

Didn’t Pat Riley famously say “no rebounds, no rings?” Rebounding is the most important part of a defensive possession. Defense wins championships. Rebounds win championships.

Not only is rebounding a key to winning, but offensive rebounding, where Adams excels, is critical on this team.

And on those championship games, we always had one of the best rebounders in the NBA who could go get one whenever he wanted.

I wish I could see him against the Pacers......but again the Pacers do excel without a banger like Adams.

It just occurred to me that he was the draft pick we traded to OKC for Harden.

So glad we got the big fella locked up early. The Lakers thought they had a chance during free agency. Suck it losers, haha

Can confirm it's not much different here in the UK. I actually pay for the league pass premium at £104.99 ($142 at current exchange) and get every game from every team and usually you get 4 options for non-national games (in arena home and away announce teams, in-studio home and away announce teams depending on what you want to watch in the breaks) can watch on up to 3 devices simultaneously and can actually watch up to 4 games at once in split screen on the same device.

Steven Adams is such an interesting player. While watching some of his old clips, I realized something: when he faces an opposing player driving to the basket, with his eyes, body language, and posture he seems to be saying, “Go ahead and try to attack the rim if you want. Either way, I’m going to block you— that shot’s not going in, but you can give it a try.”

Being able to send that kind of message is an incredible skill. Once the opposing player takes this message, even if it’s someone who would normally make that shot, they sometimes end up forcing bad plays without Adams even needing to intervene, or they position themselves poorly for the same reason, making Adam' job easier. What a great player. I really love this man.

Adams started out the season extremely poorly but got better and better as he rounded into shape and got his mobility back.

At the end I believe he set a record for rebounding percentage, basically the dude inhaled every miss on the court. Look at him absolutely dominate GSW after everyone said Curry would make him unplayable:

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I think Adams should be the 5th starter esp since we now have Capela off the bench. Adams, Sengun and Amen for 30 mins every night we prob have 15 reb advantage every game.

Ready for more Steven Adams in my life. And I hated the trade originally.
