They aren’t stupid - they know exactly what they are doing. I unfortunately cannot give the FBI or any other government entity the benefit of the doubt because Trump has scrubbed them and replaced them with people loyal to him and not the Constitution and Trump has proven to be a habitual and chronic liar. So - as far as I know, they purposely lied about the bullets to push the Trump fascist agenda.

The level of incompetence now is staggering. It was at a University with thousands of people present, in an area that isn’t high populated… they have camera everywhere and they still can’t catch this guy… the leader of the FBI can tweet though and claim they have the shooter when they don’t.
