Hitting Altuve cleanup right now is incompetent. Jose is in the middle of one of his patented mega slumps and the playoffs are literally slipping away right before our eyes. Combine that with pitching McCullers at all and you seriously have to wonder just what in the hell Espada is thinking out there.

He could have pitched today on regular rest.

That would have allowed him to pitch Tuesday vs Texas and Sunday vs Seattle.
