[AP] Conservative activist Charlie Kirk dies after being shot at Utah college event

I remember him saying that recently (specifically in reference to having to use them) , but I figured before he got big on the daily show that wasn't the case.

 

I think that’s just his narcissism. Like his weird interview as the planes had just crashed into the twin towers. If there’s any breaking news out there he has to be the center of it and he’ll never miss an opportunity to promote his garbage social media platform as the place to go for breaking news.

I don’t think Trump would think it’s that beneficial to have Kirk killed in order for him to crack down on dissidents. Mainly because he’s going to do that anyways. Trump could read Clutchfans and claim that it’s a national emergency that someone blocked Os Trig’s posts and because of that he needs to declare a national emergency and declare the 2026 elections cancelled.

Kirk was a valued propagandist, and ran an important funding apparatus in Turning Point. Unless there was something personal, I see no reason to believe Trump would want to take Kirk out.

Based on what I heard today on The Daily, Kirk was extremely close with the Trump family. I wouldn't be surprised if Don Jr or JD Vance simply had a direct line to his staff in the aftermath.

 

The news was leaking out on little unreputable sites (people who could afford to take the risk by assuming he was dead, which he almost certainly was) bit by bit... but when Trump tweeted it, suddenly it went mainstream and a bunch of big outlets started reporting it with Trump as the primary source.

I think @dobro1229 is right that was just Trump's attention whoring on full display.

 

Who recently came out as a "Release the Epstein files" guy - thus fracturing the base.

I think we can all agree the best way to honor Kirk is to release the Epstein files like he wanted.

I actually recall recently he's gone on his show to walk the company line that its time to "move on" from the Epstein Files... even though of course his base still wanted to pursue.

Look I totally would not be shocked if the shooter was a Qanon Epstein List quack who murdered him because he thought Kirk was now part of the cover up, but I would be surprised if it was someone from Trump's regime that was scared of HIM being the catalyst for getting the files released when people from the far right were also calling for the release far more prominent than Kirk was. If that theory was accurate than why wouldn't Marjorie Taylor Greene have been targeted more since she is actually in Congress trying to get the votes to actually release the files??

It's MAGA land... of course anything is possible. The guy could have slept with one of Elon's robots for all we know. These guys all fight each other far more than they fight the left. That being said logically, it makes no sense for Trump to remove one of if not his most powerful outside propagandist given how much he relies on propaganda, and lies to maintain his cult power.

Also - Yeah... Trump's assassination in PA is fishy as hell. The thing that boggles my mind is the coordination of photographers right on queue. If you've seen the camera angles where you can clearly see a Trump PR person coordinating the photographers before, during, and after, you would have thought they were shooting a magazine cover, or were on the set of a movie where they needed photo stills etc. This is DEFINITELY the type of regime that would love to mastermind false flags left and right because.... THOSE WHO ACCUSE USUALLY ARE THE MOST GUILTY OF DOING THAT WHICH THEY ACCUSE.

I think the man was a POS but did not deserve this, I think what shocks me more in the aftermath is the gop instantly blaming the left, Nance Mace was embarrassing saying the left owns this and well as folks inside the congressional halls and then for trump to call out the left as evil on tv. Where was all the outrage a few months ago when a gop assassinated the Minnesota government officials............so when Mike Johnson says the rhetoric needs to be turned down, I want to tell him to STFU.
