Is this a serious question? Do you spend much time in the UK? The VAST majority of UK citizens do not want gun policies like the US. They tend to frown upon assassinations, mass shootings, school shootings, and thousands of people dying from being shot.
Absolutely no one deserves to lose their life speaking on what they believe in. No one deserves to see their loved one disappear from their lives. Absolutely no one deserves to wake up with a loved one just stripped from them. I'm left wondering where was this angst, disgust, this collective understanding/compassion for a fellow human being, the not cool dude stance when Congress woman Melissa Hortman, her husband, dog were gunned down and killed in front of their home a couple months ago? Was it not "the in" topic of the moment, does it not fit your narrative, was it not brutal enough for discussion? What does it take to get this same reaction for our murdered/missing native mother/sisters/daughters, for the families completely destroyed and torn apart when their loved ones are shipped away never to be seen again, when children are disappeared, when children/humans are starving in Gaza and around the world etc? Yes yesterday was a tragedy but your choice of when to show that angst and shed them tears says it all.
