He can suit up and sit on the bench if that makes the league feel better, I'd rather have him on the bench than those Jeenathan tier scrubs, I bet he's still more impactful.

Damn right! As aforementioned, there's no salary cap on coaching to circumvent... and isnt there some thread about Stone having the smallest front office? It still kills me that Rudy was/is a consultant for the Lakers and not us!

Not sure why folks calling Wemby a bust. Odd.

But Dream taking Wemby into the "lab"? meh and yuk.

He's already not a "bust" unless injury problems take him out like they did Ralph Sampson, Greg Oden (which is very possible given his height and injury history). Even as he is now, he's clearly an All-NBA level player when healthy, which is a good value, even for a #1 overall pick. If he gets even moderately better, he'll be a top 5 player in the league.

All of that said, I wish Dream were working with Alpi and Amen instead...

overrated player. There’s nothing I like about his game. He’s special for his handling and movement like a guard at 7’ 3 but I don’t think he’s very skillful, graceful, or creative. And definitely not tough. Lot’s of times he gets away with being tall with extra long arms.

Dream did work with Sengun. Amen needs to shoot first before learning post play. no doubt it will come.

here’s what Amen is working on. Gather into a jump shot. That’s what he was missing couple months ago when Davion Mitchell locked him up. He needs to face up gather into a shot or hesi dribble drive.

He’s an independent freelance trainer it seems and probably likes it that way with no strict schedules or commitments and chooses whatever project he likes. Maybe makes more as well.

He’s already worked with the best players in the world through the years (bron, kobe, giannis, melo) and drastically improved those guys careers as they slowed down and relied on post moves and pivoting more. Nothing wrong with this. I think it’s great he’s giving back to the NBA.

Sengun incorporated more spin moves to his game both on the drive and post. Not quite the Hakeem spin but his version. Bron and Kobe used the post more.

I think to benefit from a workout with Hakeem you already need to have good fundamentals. Dwight and McGee worked out with him too and didn't get any better in the post.

Disgusting behavior after what Wemby did during lotto night, this franchise should not be affiliated with Wemby in any form. If it were anyone but Dream you guys would disown him. Harden is now above Hakeem for best Rocket ever, don't @ me. Anything for a dollar for this sell out.

Not impressed with training from a 70 year old Nigerian grandpa.

Amen is working out with AI Robots.

I just don'e see him as a winning player - having a winning mentality or doing what's best for the team to win.

He pretty much refuses to play the 5 spot acting like he's prime KD shooting 9 3's a game which is about half his shots when he's much more effective in the paint. It comes off as me first sabotaging the teams success.

Yes, he puts up stats but they feel empty .... he could be so much better / more effective if he wasn't dead set on playing himself out of position.

Bust in the traditional sense, no. He's going to put up numbers, bust in the sense that he won't ever reach his potential - yes.

And then there's the health concerns .... that could put him out of the league in the blink of an eye.

Maybe missing out on him wasn't such a bad thing.

I don't think you can really call him an empty stats guy given how impactful he has been on their defense when on the court. He's also been reasonably efficient as a scorer. "Empty stats" players suck in one or both of those areas.

Whether he will live up to the hype, I don't know. You could be right on that one and I wouldn't be shocked, considering the hype was basically LeBron-level and it's damned hard to be a perennial top MVP contender. However, relative to other #1 picks, if and only if he stays healthy, I think he will be above-average. The median #1 overall pick is closer to a Karl-Anthony Towns or Kyrie Irving level player than it is to LeBron James or Hakeem.

Not many players ended up using his moves consistently.

Kobe added the reverse pivot jumpshot.

I wouldn't quite go as far as ranking Harden higher, but I'm definitely more on your side than the "it's all good" side lmao

It must be a hell of a thing when the guy one on one coaching you to work on your game in sweats has his jersey retired and NBA championship banners up on the gym walls.
