Should have mentioned “followed by a 2nd opinion…” The reality is these ‘kids’ are now throwing year-round starting at a very young age. They’ve already got major miles on their arms either after HS or college. Then they go full throttle on spin development once they go pro (not that they’re not already spinning it like crazy prior). Every arm has a finite shelf life/X amount of pitches before it gives out. No human arm was designed to be able to do this much overhand pitching without ramifications. The results (both in terms of batting averages against, but also injury frequency) do go hand in hand… and organizations are still willing to live with the injury tradeoff for success when they’re healthy.
Small sample size and an unsustainable .473 bapip. Over a larger sample size, he’s batting 100 points lower.
That dude in the stand needs to pull up his pants. Dude just flashed his butt crack to a bunch of astros fans.
104.6 off the bat. 3rd highest exit velo for the game so far. xBA is 0.800........... suspiciously high
