I was thinking the same. "We will get that fixed" comments from Ryans ring hollow. They had all off season. This team's offense is significantly flawed. New offensive coordinator, but nothing is new. How do you "figure it out" on the fly? What if the Jags, Titans, and Colts pass them up? What will happen then? After Sunday, I think there is a VERY GOOD chance that could happen. Overreaction? Nope. After the "fantasy" offseason, the SB talk, the endless hype all summer, and Sunday's DUD, I am in no mood for hollow rhetoric.
I need Demeco to start being more of a Head Coach and less of a glorified locker room cheerleader and defensive coordinator. You hire 2 rookie offensive coordinators but still want to be completely hands off on that side of the ball..this is the result. Clunky offense and the most penalized team in the league every single season since you were hired. Less SWARM and more DISCIPLINE please.
I get why he’s saying it all comes back to him, but it sounds more like he’s shielding the players from blame rather than truly taking responsibility himself.
Offense bounces back. Can’t run on a Todd Bowles defense but I think CJ will have monster game throwing. 250+ yds and 3 tds Texans 28 Bucs 20
The offensive performance in L.A. was abysmal. Please don’t try to sugarcoat it. The defense is good enough to win “some” ugly games, but this team isn’t going anywhere w/o significant improvement on the offensive side of the ball. The line was garbage…..still…..and I don’t care if it was injuries or failure to properly address the line in the draft and free agency. Can they beat TB at home?…..sure. Would I put money on it? Absolutely not. The Texans rode an easier schedule in 2024 to get back to the playoffs. The schedule is not as forgiving this season. Improve or die
I agree but they should have hired an experienced OC/play-caller then. Feels like they cheaped out or didn't want anyone that could over-shadow Demeco.
Fans predict decisive Texans road win in opener against very good team. Texans lose by margin very close to what Vegas told us. Fans turn attention to 2026 draft.
The offense can't operate unless everything is perfect. The QB isn't making his reads, so until that changes, expect a repeat of last week—and last season. As usual, the game will be on the defense to win. FGs here we come.
Bucs defense will use the exact same formula the Rams did. But with no legit RB and two rookie WRs, will the results be much different? I think the offense will be sharper and score more points, but 28 seems to be quite a stretch IMO.
Texans dominate. Will perform better at home, less penalties and Collins gets going. Bucs barely pulled out the victory against scrub Penix and ATL. I expect the Texans defense to destroy Tampa, great field position will have us winning in comfortable fashion. I'm batting .900 right now
The one positive is we tend to play lights out at home, so I am hoping for a bounce back game and they "fix" the issue with the O Line..............BUT, I am not sure the QUALITY of anyone on the O Line besides Ersery is a long term fix. I am not sure why we didn't address the O Line more aggressively, IMO the Bears over paid for their new line and we have quite a few players who need to paid in the next 2 years but give us at least ONE stud O Lineman and not some retread like Cam R who were paying north of $10 million who got destroyed Sunday. CJ looks skiddish and he doesnt look like he`s having fun I have no clue what we will do against the Bucs and I wont be shocked if we beat them like a drum or if we get 3 field goals and lose 10-9 And why in the hell is the game at 6??? I don't get home until 6ish
