Those numbers don't account for his failures in calling protections and adjusting plays to account for blitzes... and that's what Stroud is really bad at.

Advanced stats don’t matter when all I see are garbage numbers and losses. He still makes bad plays, he’s just not that good.

Why is our boy holding onto the ball so long? What happened to the gun slinger that sliced up defenses his rookie year?

I think he can improve and be a top 10-15 type QB. However he's nowhere near that right now and there seems to be a lot of built in excuse making going on for his poor play. 2 different offenses/2 different OC's and the same issues kinda makes you wonder about CJ.

kind of like drafting Michael Carter Williams , Tyreke Evans. Rookie of the year players and then all of a sudden you’re like, ok and now where’s the growth?

Having two OC 33 games into your career and a bad offensive line - with injuries taking out several key playmakers for long stretches - are objective facts, not excuses.

You can point a finger at CJ for any number of things - but to argue he hasn't been hampered these past 18 games is just silly. Start thinking about the great QBs in this league - and then compare their circumstances to CJ's and see who is doing more with less. There's Mahomes (though he's played his entire career with two HoFers - Reid and Kelce), Allen (who's a freak of nature and, TBF, struggled his first few seasons) & maybe Jackson (though Henry, a HoFer, has seemingly unlocked another level for him). The rest? They're surrounded by really smart coaching and a lot of talent.

Stroud is pretty damn good but the tape says he doesn’t have time to throw!

I think Stroud has immense talent and will be ok once there is more stability around him. That throw under pressure is elite. He made a number of those throws yesterday, even the one that was intercepted.

Stroud was better when Keenum was on the roster.

QB has low Football IQ. Every pass was the wrong read to a WR that was covered. Trash.

I don't know about this. "Every pass?" Really?
Are the analysts who said that Stroud did ok lying? You have an agenda, dude.

You can ignore that guy, he’s a real sourpuss. Complains about everybody and everything.

Just being honest, he doesn't pass the eye test. I won't be surprised if we miss the playoffs. A QB has to make quick reads and use his eyes to manipulate defenders and create openings. I don't see that ability in him. A lot of fans will make excuses, but they never seem to entertain the simple possibility that he just might not be that good.
