I would have had Salazar catch - but I don’t know the dynamics well enough. Framber didn’t listen to Diaz - admitted as much, was made to look like a fool and not only went on a pitching tear after that, but became comfortable with Diaz. There is a really good chance Salazar is the Astros #2 catcher next season. The Astros think very highly of him behind the plate and handling pitchers.

 

Yeah I’m sure Framber is motivated today. Still woulda made him pitch to Salazar. It’s just the right thing to do imo.

 

I have very good feelings about Framber today.

Maybe another no-hit bid into late innings.

Don't like Jake hitting 6th. I understand its vs LHSP but he does not hit for power. Let him settle into the 9th spot everyday.

What is it about first basemen with us.
Walker just set his career high in strike outs and we have several games to go.

Has to be leading the league in 3 pitch strike outs.
It's like he can't build on a good game.

Jesus our defense is SO ****, DIaz drops a catchable strike 3 then throws the ball off the runners back instead of throwing it OUTSIDE the base so Walker can catch it, like you are taught in youth ball, and we give up a run.....FFS our fundamentals suck.
