France out, Georgia through. Who would have thought, Spain, France, and Serbia not even in top 8.

Yep that's crazy. I know France doesn't have their best available roster, but they still have some NBA players, and literally the best Euroleague players. This is a huge failure.

P.S. I wouldn't put Spain in the same category as Serbia or France. In Spain's case it wasn't really a big surprise. They just don't have a great team at the moment. Their golden generation retired one by one. Now they'll have to wait for a few years until their young guys mature.

France feels like an empty squad without a soul and just randomly assembled.

Coulibaly, Risacher, Sarr are all just NBA babies.

Usually they get surprised by a hard playing team with a solid Center.

They have the best possible guys available, the young NBA guys and their Euroleague stars. I think the problem is that they don't really have defined roles. The Euroleague guys should have been the ones leading the way, and these NBA babies as you call them should have been more in a supporting role, instead of averaging 20mpg in 40 minute matches. A lot of them tried to be "the guy" for small stretches and they ended up not having any identity.

You could tell that Türkiye, their entire nation, their management, their National team staff want it bad.....their leader Sengün, their emotional Coach Ataman.

They naturalized players, they brought in every major player from their country......they played tons of exhibition games.

You just feel everyone in their country gives a shet....about this tournament.

i think France always had passing bigs like Boris Diaw.....or at least a great PG like Tony Parker.

They do not have anyone this time, Wemby if he showed up perhaps.....they need to find a playmaker.

Escaped. Another weak performance by our guys, allowed Slovenia to dictate the tempo and the character of the game. But, Semis are on Lakers tears in sight.

Final bound! Finland was probably our best matchup at this stage, they still deserve huge respect and I hope they win bronze on Sunday.

Man, Finland was very disappointing. Couldn’t get anything done and even couldn’t get their threes off, credit to Germany’s defense which was stellar.

Germany has the shooters to hang with Türkiye or better can pose a danger to them barring an off night.

Would have preferred Mo Wagner (DNP) instead of Daniel Theis just because of the sheer height advantage.
