Only real problem I had with Espada tonight was leading off the 12th (I get why you don't/can't bunt in the 10/11th with Diaz/Correa leading off)....but to PH Dubon for Melton and letting Dubon swing away, instead of just letting Melton bunt and move the runner (may even get a hit with his wheels)...is something I can't quite explain in my brain
Didn’t Dubon basically bunt? I mean he swung away and hit it 3 feet, but it “worked” and got the runner over. Is this a process over results gripe? Im of the mindset that I never want to see another bunt attempt ever again in my life. Ban it.
100% You can't complain about the results if the decisions leading up to them are sound. Also, you don't swing away and "basically bunt"

Teams that are this ****ing bad at hitting with runners and scoring position should not be giving up free outs to advance a runner to third base when you already have a runner score position. That's weird. Typically when teams are struggling to score they emphasize small ball to try and scratch out a run when they can. It's a good ability, as a team, to have when you need it. Like in the 12th ****ing inning.
The team is totally run by players. I would like to accuse hitting coaches, Espada, medical team, cooks, translators and Dana. But it's the players. Few games ago when they took like record amount of terrible stupid AB's, made mistakes and just were totally unprepared for that current opposition team and oppo pitching.....Correa gave C. Rome soundbites that nothing to fix in aproach or preparation and that agressive players don't turn better being more passive. 3 hours 37 minute game. I didn't watch any of it and I feel better for not. I saw the Pena AB on Gameday. He was swinging at pitches 2 feet off the plate. Like Altuve and Diaz do. Team needs batters than can produce when needed. This team doesn't have it. They are what they are and it's not very good. Lance said...it's late. I'll end this. 10 pitches later he did. I would bat Caratini 4th, release Lance, move Altuve down to 7th, not play Cam, put Blubaugh in the rotation, have repeated bunting practice, get Parades in at DH soon, release Trammel when Meyers comes back, and keep the lady strength coach because she is always smiling and I like her.
