“This is Communist, this is Marxist, this is fascist,” the former president said at an August 27 rally in Pennsylvania.

Then, another clip captured Trump attacking Harris at a Friday news conference near his golf resort in Los Angeles: “This is a radical-left, Marxist, communist, fascist.”

“She’s a Marxist. She’s a fascist…“Comrade Kamala Harris,” he similarly told a crowd in Michigan on August 29. Speaking about Democrats, he continued: “They’re scum. And they want to take down our country. They are absolute garbage.”

Both those who say fascism is the same as communism and those who say it is "the opposite" are wrong. It is a "third way" as the ur fascist Benito Mussolini would say. Like communism, fascism is a collectivist ideology. Unlike communism, it doesn't pit labor against management, it pits the nation against foreigners (and those inside the nation that "don't belong"). Where communism (at least in theory if not in practice) is about the distribution of power to the body politic, fascism is about the concentration of power in the state and those who run it. Ultimately, from what we have seen historically, ostensibly communist countries seem to end up looking a lot like fascist countries (an all-powerful central government that severely punishes anyone that stands against it), they just have different rhetoric while doing so. It is what makes it so funny when the USSR/CCP loving leftists decry the fascism of Trump/Republicans. The current USA is far less similar to Fascist Italy or Nazi Germany than the Soviet Union was. My favorite though, is when the lowest IQ people around try to say that libertarianism is connected in any way to fascism, because libertarianism is in fact the opposite.

Difference being that coalition voters are like .001% of the population & don't vote. They have never voted for the democratic party. They vote green or something else crazy.

The current MAGA movement is the most authoritarian big government in modern history. Nothing comes close to what theyre doing.

    This is just from today

The O&G industry in Texas is taking a massive hit, and it will continue. This is not necessarily due to anything Trump has done or will do.

Of course it does. Trump got OPEC to boost production in exchange for trade concessions which direct impacts American workers. If oil is under 70 bucks nobody is opening new rigs. Rig counts today are substantially lower than when Biden was in office

We over-produced for years....and now demand has fallen off, here and abroad.

So we're taking rigs and, more importantly, refineries, out of production. You don't shutter a refinery and then wait to turn it back on when times are good again. Once it's done, it's done (see: Lyondell)

Demand hasn't fallen off. Not sure where you're getting your stats from

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/271823/global-crude-oil-demand/

None of that has anything to do with Trump begging OPEC for a production boost. Trump sold out American energy for more Saudi oil. This is a fact

Demand growth is slowing, and we are already in a supply glut, OPEC potentially turning on their spigots ain't gonna help. It's gonna be bad times in Texas for the foreseeable future.

Trump folks reversed bidens export controls on semiconductors to the Arab governments (as they were selling them to the chinnese) and in exchange OPEC agreed to flood the market with more oil.

Point being is Trump sold out the domestic energy market to the arabs while not caring thousands of American workers would lose their jobs.

    He's a crook
