We probably wouldn't have ponied up for Framber's large asking price next year. This will just make it easier to let him go.

Framber has the emotional discipline of a spoiled rotten toddler. The silver lining in his recent performances and last night's behavior is that he's made it easy to wave goodbye to him in free agency.

Not really. Melton was higher on the depth chart.

 

There's a very real possibility that if this thing with Valdez really goes sideways for the rest of the season and cost us either getting into the playoffs or having a dud in the playoffs like last year, then Valdez and Espada will be taking the same bus out of town this off season.
