I'm not looking to get into a back and forth over this Just weird how deep the hatred seems to be I'm just old and from a generation that we didn't turn on our hero's I guess Certainly we don't want them to keep going when they are hurting the team, but it never was personal for us old asses In any case as I said, I don't want a back and forth over it, so carry on
Have you seen the reaction to Framber tonight? What I am saying about Lance is Disney mild compared to that
I hate to say it. I had been rooting for this guy ever since he went on the IR. Sad to say he's lost it and not sure if he will ever be back to his old form.
Every day he is on the active roster is just hurting the team and delaying the inevitable. Lance knows it.
With all due respect, LMJ is getting paid generational money to deal with the disappointment of not pitching in the rotation. He now needs to be told he has a blister. Pecko and Ullola are doing very well in AAA. We need arms. We have less than a month to build a pen and identify who can be leverage arms. LMJ is wasting a roster spot.
He 100% needs to be shut down for this season. His curve can still generate swings and misses, so I don't think he's 100% done. However they clearly have to try some mechanical tweaks and sequencing changes because this version of him isn't competitive. If there's any hope for success it's gonna have to come with better command than hes ever shown. He has to consistently locate better if he's gonna have success as a spinny junkballer.
For the life of me I can't understand how Ullola is not up right now. I don't care if he walks a lot of guys. You need to see him in a half dozen games to see if he can be the next Bryan abreu and get you three outs in a tight ballgame.
Please dont compare Lance with Framber. I was the biggest Framber apologist. This season has changed my mind. The Salazar thing and talking **** about the defensive positioning. Generally throwing teammates under the bus. Lance has never done any of those things.
I love Lance. What i dont understand is why hes not throwing in Sugarland. Let him throw as many innings there until he gets right. Like u said he moments where he looks like the old Lance. Let him go throw down there with no pressure and see if he can get right.
I totally understand where you're coming from my man. Its like where is this hatred coming from? Lance is a ****ing HTown Legend. I understand he might not be the same and have to go. That should ba a sad thing not a I hate this ****ing guy thing. All these insults to the guy. He gets paid millions of dollars. That doesn't mean u have to be a dick to him. He was a part of our 1st ever World Series. Everyone on that team should considered legendary in Houston. From Lance all the way to Derek Fisher.
I kind of wonder if he has more in the arm but is afraid to totally let it go for fear of more injury His only real hope in my opinion is for that to be the case and over a full offseason he is able to come back in spring and let it go, find out if his arm/shoulder can handle it The thought of him gaining a lot of command, when that has never been his thing and he has had all the injuries, just doesn’t seem very possible to me
This is where I’m at 100% I have no issue at this point saying he should not currently be on the roster I guess I just don’t understand the personal hatred towards the guy just because he hasn’t been able to come back from multiple serious injuries and perform like it’s 2017 Ironic thing is Lance is one of the big reasons some of the guys that hate him are on this board in the first place. Before he played a HUGE role in bringing us from awful to a Title, there were typically about 5-6 of us posting on this section at all
