Meanwhile the Giants scored 13 today against the Orioles.

Then just stick him on the 60-day and maybe you can trade (salary swap) or do something with him next summer.

I have no illusions of him being useful for the Stros anytime, I just wouldn't eat the money unless you have to.

Our pitching is good enough, our hitting is not.

How is Luis going to save the offense?

The offense will eventually hit (and they'll end up hitting "good" pitchers which will further frustrate people).

However they still need as much viable starting pitching as possible... both this year and going into next year (and beyond).

A week ago, we had all the hitting and our SP rotation was in shambles. The Astros have a month to get their crap together. It’s not a lot of fun watching them try.

This lineup should be a B+ lineup.
This rotation should be a B+ to A- rotation if Javier and Arrighetti are finding their stride.
This bullpen is c+ to b- and will be white knuckle ride.

Trying to get the 2 seed is far more important than falling to a wildcard spot. The latter is far more likely than the former, but a month is a long time. Who knows.

Our hitting has been inconsistent all year with the exception of one stretch, where we had a hot 2 out hitting bit....

Our hitters are undisciplined, swing at everything (Diaz, Tuve) and hope instead of having a plan.

We have lost all that AJ Hinch built.....which was a winning formula and now are just a lacks clubhouse with very poor fundamentals on both sides of the ball.

If we weren’t so inept offensively, I would expect the Astros to beat up on Kikuchi and his 1.43 WHIP.

Instead, I expect them to score 1 run or less.

Not like Garcia will keep em in the game long anyway.

Doubt it. Correa is also a streaky hitter, who is prone to going dormant offensively for stretches. This team just needs more clutch hitting and more extra base thunder.

yea the offense will eventually pull the usual 9–10 runs out of its ass to win a game or 2 but then immediately fall back to same shitty habits that have plaqued the last few seasons

Correa never swung the bat. Back to the dugout. No wonder he only has 44 RBI’s
