if cwalk can't catch up to the fb to pull, he needs to start doing that more. go the opposite way. perhaps not able to catch up to fb is the reason why he can't go oppo lol
that's why 1st pitch swinging is a double-edged sword. majority of the time it's your best pitch to swing at. however if you put it in play and right at a defender, it's a quick out. that was a great pitch to hit. just couldn't square it up properly.
Many times, depending on what the pitcher has done before you, it'll be the best pitch you get to hit...so, whatcha gonna do?
Same with last night where he GIDP after their pitcher had walked two. Yes, could be argued that taking the first pitch makes sense... but it was middle-middle right in the zones that he's crushed all season. But sometimes hitters miss their pitch, and they do deserve blame when they're unable to crush the mistakes semi-consistently.
Chas seems to always been a player that needs to be protected on all sides of the lineup, so he is not tempted to play hero and do stupid things.
Is this Chas playing 4D chess here to force the Rockies to lose their challenge? If not than he's dumb.
This just came to me. Jason Alexander is white Jose Lima (astrodome version). Same changeup, no salsa.
