Okay, so tell me what he did better? Clearly it wasn't winning or personal accolades. So let me know...
Jordan ruined the game for a good 10 years. The "I wanna be like Mike" crowd that grew up watching him came in to the league only knowing how to play one on one. The 2000s was almost unbearable to watch. A decade of dribble between your legs for 20 seconds and jack up a contested shot. Lebron helped bring back balanced basketball with his ability to create for others.
Lol. Lebron brought balance by flopping, crying every time someone breathed on him, and forming super teams. What a joke
2004-2009 seasons were all Yao & tmac together only 1 season they didn't win 50 plus games so, the role players couldn't have been as terrible as you claim. You mention those guys but forget about Mutombo Shane Battier Kyle Lowry Rafer Alston Ron Artest Luis Scola Carl Landry Aaron Brooks Chuck Hayes Bonzi Wells Bobby Jackson Juwan Howard Jim Jackson All solid role players
Not sure exactly which playoff series, but I remember the Rockets going into an elimination game and Tmac prior to the game said he had another gear he could shift to....I want to say Rockets got blown out that game. I also remember when he said he would turn Stromile Swift into an All-Star. Tmac was elite talent and cocky but underdelivered when it counted.
Bulls won like 55 games without mj didn’t they? No LeBron team (literally 0-23) would have ever sniffed winning a playoff series and probably only 2-3 could have even gone .500.
Wait, you don't the the Heatles minus Lebron still wouldn't have won a playoff series in the East of that era? You do realise with no Lebron then Bosh would just step up and they'd STILL have a stacked team with prime Wade and Bosh, right?
The heatles has absolutely zero depth and never had prime wade, we’re talking when LeBron was actually there not the whole time, just those seasons. The first miami season they won 58, that was wade’s last really good season. They probably could’ve gotten to 43-44 without LeBron but winning a playoff series would be highly unlikely.
Not sure exactly but they had a good record. I disagree. Lebron is a great player but he's everything I said. He's also an obvious steroid abuser
what do you disagree with? The bulls went 55-27 the season jordan left for "baseball", Lebron has never played on a team that would have come within 10 of that number.
The worst thing is you're dead serious. I guess this is what happens when you watch metrics lists more than actual basketball games. I can't even begin to address how bad that take was, it's like you're from a different reality.
I think they're Heat with Wade, Bosh, Allen and someone filling Lebron's salary (or multiple players) would have easily done that
Allen wasn’t there till wade was pretty much totally washed, and nobody filled jordan’s salary. Jordan was just blessed to play on an awesome team.
I didn't say he didn't matter, I said the Heat would still win a playoff series in the East of the day without him. Not gonna let you change what I said, sorry. Maybe stick to reading TS%, you seem to struggle with English .
Winning 50 games most those years was a miracle. It was only because Yao and Tmac each dominated and we had a tough-nosed defensive minded team under JVG. A lot of those guys weren't that good, especially at the stages of their career -- e.g. Mutombo. Bonzi was washed by the time he got to us. He had a few moments but there is a reason he was out the league quickly after. Lowry was a bull dog but didn't break out fully until after -- also, did he play much with Tmac? Rafer... cmon man. Ron played just a few games with Tmac before he was out for the year. Chuck Hayes was a tough-nosed hard worker and gained the respect and love from all Hou fans...but he was not much help. Particularly since we are talking about the inability for anyone to score outside of Tmac/Yao. Juwan was okay but only averaged 10 points. Bobby was okay but he played 26 games with us and retired after the next season. Jim Jackson IIRC was on like 10 teams in 7 years or something. Not a good role player. Solid at best. Carl didn't become much after he left the Rockets either. Shane and Scola were the only GOOD role players in that group. I love almost every guy on that list. But I recognize they weren't that good, particularly when comparing against the contending teams' rosters. Several of them were over their prime. Several of them were just tough players that should have been terrible given physical qualities and lack of offense but won our hearts and respect for their hustle and defense... that doesn't make them good. I don't want that criticism to come off as hate. Again, I loved those guys and teams. I loved being an underdog with guys you knew wouldn't quit fighting. But ultimately, our inability to hit key shots and stops down the stretch killed every single one of those teams. Yao and Tmac did everything they needed to, but when you're getting triple teamed, you need a GOOD role player who can hit those shots. And we never had those guys. We never had the best 3rd fiddle like the Lakers, Miami, and other contenders in those years had. When Morey took over, we started finding more hidden talent, but by then injuries were mounting up fast.
Tmac was supremely talented and could do jaw dropping things, but he was soft as hell. I remember Derek fisher single handedly shut him down in the playoffs because he knew he could get Tmac to settle for jump shots. No way Kobe does that. Tmac also quit on the Rockets, so I’m not about to give him any flowers. He will always be remembered as Stacy McLady when the pressure was on. The man never made it out of the first round of the playoffs. Think about that.
