They are doing all of this trying to provoke violence of criminal behavior. Why would anyone go to immigration court? Why would anyone that is illegal work? Why would they go to the hospital or doctor? Force them underground and when anyone lashes out say how terrible they are.

The petition, if it’s the same one discussed yesterday - has signatures from across the globe and mostly from India. There are lots of immigrants, legal and illegal. There is going to be some degree of crime and injuries. It’s always such an insincere argument. Whatever - win lose or draw.
Yes all it took was hiring a huge number of additional ICE officers that cover their face and identity that grab people off the street and whisk them away into the night. Sounds great. You leave out why they covered their faces and hide their identity .... It's a fact that they have been attacked by protestors, their families threatened and worse, ambushed by 10 suspects right here in Texas on July 4th, luckily no one died. We should have done this 39 years ago when Reagan gave many of them amnesty - that's a huge part of the problem, allowing it to go on for so long. Rather, both parties have turned a blind eye since that event in the name of cheap labor. It's done irreparable harm on many levels. I wonder, just for the sake of clarity, how old you are - if you are old enough to remember a world where illegal labor wasn't running rampant in many sectors of our economy. I remember a world when I was a young man where residential construction was dominated by skilled Americans and lawn care & food service was mainly done by youth (those weren't careers, they were stepping stones), it was rare to see an illegal on a job site. Today the shoe is on the other foot. There's a lot of opportunity cost to Americans, young and old. And the only winner is the home builder / general contractor getting cheap labor - he's not selling the home at a discount because he saved on that labor, he's pocketing the difference, the buyer doesn't save a cent and in many cases gets a substandard product as a result - there's a reason why many of those trades require a license - to regulate the quality and ensure safety. I've dealt with the effects of illegal labor running my plumbing company - started out doing residential builds in the late 80's, had to move to light commercial, mostly fast food restaurants & hospital's in the early 90's because I couldn't compete price wise due to labor costs and that was, at the time much more thoroughly regulated, eventually that market became saturated and again, I couldn't compete with the price of illegal labor and I transitioned to service and eventually just sold the company in 2004. Here it is 2025 and these guys are still working for the same $10-12hr when I was paying top quality guys $25hr+ back in the late 90's. How the hell are you supposed to compete with that?! The funny thing is that today we have guys like Mike Rowe & BlackRock CEO Larry Fink talking about how we're going to need millions of skilled tradesmen in the next few years .... who the hell is going to train them?

DEA/FBI agents never wear masks and their jobs are 1000x more then ICE agents picking up brown people. I just have a hard time accepting that if some random group of people in masks without identification force you into a van you are supposed to go along with it. Previously I would've thought this is something that every American could agree just wasn't ok. At the absolute minimum, shouldn't they at least come up with a standard uniform to help identify them even if they think it's necessary to wear a mask?
The idea ICE agents have to wear masks cuz they get threats is such p***y stuff. Patrol officers have a 100x more dangerous job than ICE agents picking up illegals at home depot. If patrol officers have to wear body cameras then the least ICE agents can do is show their face. 80%+ of immigrants being picked up by ICE have never had a criminal record so cut the bullshit that their job is somehow dangerous
Oh, I'm in complete agreement with you on that, and think they're cowards if they feel the need to hide behind a mask. It's just that whether or not they are masked would be the least of my concerns if I were to ever encounter ICE agents.

I realize it might sound patronizing toward you, but that is not my intention. One of the biggest problems in this country, as reflected here in CF, is the inability or lack of desire to deal in facts. So I applaud you for dealing in facts and leading by example.
