- A win without Espada - Framber bounces back after a few bad starts (no, I don't care if against the worst team) - Yordan and Cam homer - arguably the two players that needed it the most - Abreu rest. My bad, he pitched with a 4 run lead
that has already pretty much been disproven based on his injury history in the past. Aging doesn't bode well for future injuries either.
Wild card standings ----- Astros (Division leader) -0.5 Red Sox WC1 0.0 Yankees WC2 1.5 Mariners WC3 4.5 Royals 6.0 Guardians 6.0 Rangers
Royals are a real concern, they hold the tiebreaker against us but it's fluid. They have a 22-20 in division record, we are currently 16-17. So we may end up getting that tiebreaker in the end.
Can we just get everybody to wear that suit of armor Ohtani wears at the plate? The hand injuries are tiring.
It is so important Yordan is back. We need some damn slugging in the middle of the lineup. Pena is the only guy in the lineup slugging well this season and he leads off. The Mariners have their top 6 batters slugging over .450. The Astros only have Pena, and most are struggling to crack .400. Stros need a presence. Doesn't fix the pitching but it perks up everything around him. really hoping he can maintain his health.
Fantastic to see a good outing from Framber.. spared our pen as well. Also fantastic to see Cam and Yordan go yard. The two players you would have most wanted too.
Man, a season with Yordan and Issac will really do wonders for this lineup. Too many dudes that are allergic to taking pitches and walks. Just seems like a poorly coached hitting team
