Crime in blue districts in reds states is largely driven by incompetence of the Democrat party in those districts. Its not a novel concept.

You just proved my point. If Houston's crime is so bad because of Democrats, why didn't the POTUS send troops there? He only sends them to DC. That's selective enforcement based on politics, not crime.

Note how these posters both couldn't answer why the POTUS skips high-crime Republican states. They change the subject because they can't defend selective military deployment.

You don't understand what you read?

The troops going to Republican states are for immigration enforcement, not crime reduction. That's completely different from sending troops to DC for "crime".

Here's the simple point again: He declared a "crime emergency" and sent troops to DC specifically for crime - but skipped Republican states with higher crime rates. This proves it's about going after political opponents, not fighting crime. If crime was really the issue, he'd send troops to the highest-crime areas first.

“We greatly appreciate the surge of officers that enhance what MPD has been able to do in this city,” said DC Mayor Muriel Bowser in a Wednesday press conference.

“The difference between this 20-day period of this federal surge and last year represents a 87% reduction in carjackings,” Bowser noted, later posting the full stats on her X account.

Violent crime has fallen by 45% when compared with the same period in 2024, while crime overall dipped 15%.

Indu Bhatia, who runs a liquor store half a mile from the White House, agreed, telling The Post on Tuesday: “All my employees, including me, we feel much more safe, and even our customers feel really happy when they walk into our store.”

Bhatia said her store was robbed so many times they had to sink piles of cash into renovations to increase security.

“All we can do as a small business owner is protect yourself,” she said.
